Humble establishment, focuses on the cuisine. Delicious sushi without being flashy. Edamame is simple but good, crab Rangoon leaves me wanting. Cocktails are delicious, recommend Tokyo Drift or Hagiri. Sushi slaps.
Stopped by Absolute Noodle and Sushi Bar on a weekend for a quick sushi fix, and it was a pretty average Asian spot. The decor is cute—casual with a mix of records on the wall and some Asian-inspired touches like lanterns. Service was fine—they were friendly but nothing special, just efficient. We had the pork bun, fire crunch roll, and poke donburi. The sushi and poke didn’t really stand out from the typical sushi fare but seemed fresh and tasted fine, the pork belly "slider"...
After 3 days of hiking all over the District of Columbia we found ourselves in the dim, cool confines of Absolute Noodle and sushi. Wonderfully friendly staff seated and took care of us throughout the visit. Plenty of gluten-free options, I opted for the choo chee salmon, which was delicious. My wife got the crispy chicken basil and said it was the best version of the dish she's ever had. Our daughter practically inhaled the sushi.
