Went here cuz poke dc is closed for renovations. If you want to have 3 chunks of chewy salmon in a bowl of leaves and weird tasting sticky rice this is the spot for you

I love this place and visit often. Normally I'm satisfied with the food and service however today I was not pleased with the way the young man prepared my food. He did not take his time and rushed my order and in doing so while rolling up my spicy salmon handroll the salmon fell out and he continued without replacing the salmon. I had to tell him that it fell out of the rolll after he picked it up and packed it up. Then he 2 2 pieces and stuffed it from the side of the roll. I was disgusted with his poor service at this point. I won't be returning. The salmon tasted bad

False advertised student discount. They list a student discount with gwu that does not exist and attempt to get you to post full price.

The original 5 star review has been downgraded to a 2 star.

The food is usually delicious and fresh, this last time not so much.

The ability of the staff to get an order correct and the entire order in a delivery bag? Abysmal, every time.

It's alright. Some of the dishes were good, others the quality was sus; atmosphere was meh.

Had a sticker in with the raw salmon so returned it. They didn't seem surprised. Also I don't know if poi is bad, or if the poi they had here is bad. But ended out tossing it. The rolls tasted good though.

No customers when I went, but the tables were all dirty. Lighting was pretty dim and the music was uninspired (some sort of Spanish music I think).

Wasn't bad per se, but it wasn't great.

Everything was so good. Spam musubi, chicken bowl and California hand roll were so good. We will definitely order from here again

Flavor is good but I asked for white rice and got a giant clump of hard old rice. Really weird.

I love all Hawaiian food, but I especially love spam musubi. I'm a simple man so a simple spam musubi will satisfy me but Abunai doesn't make a simple spam musubi, they make a spam katsu musubi. It's fried and crunchy and furikake and so darn delicious. You can literally do anything after eating a spam katsu musubi. Thank you, Abunai, for giving me the power to do anything.

Fantastic place for Hawaiian food, not only poké, which I love, but also kahlua pork, taro, and a few other Hawaiian specialties. Great value, friendly service, delicious food. I’d be thrilled with a bit more non-poké variety, but I suppose that’s the main thing for most people.

I ordered via Uber eats. The presentations of all the dishes were amazing. Their poke was filled and tasted great. I also got to spam musubi which was wrapped nicely. And I got a spicy salmon roll, it was very spicy like no joke, but it comes with wasabi and ginger as well. Very good presentation overall will order again.
