Wonderful brunch here with friends. Excellent menu for food and drinks. Fabulous server. Great quality Meditteranean food. Highly recommended-- especially for eating outside.

Came here with a large group after a performance at UDC- we shared a number of dishes- everyone enjoyed the food- we ordered hummus served with warm pita- crispy brussel sprouts, nice selections on the charcuterie tray, the wings tasted like they were brined and smoked, others had the shrimp, burgers, pasta alfredo. The wine selection was great too. Our waiter was attentive. We'll definitely return.

Food is terrible, personnel is good though. I took burrata and mozzarella caprese salad and falafel. It was hard to say which cheese is in the salad - burrata or mozzarella, tasted so-so. But falafel was the worst, it was sour and with unbelievably disgusting taste. So I couldn’t finish even a half. I love falafel, tried it a lot, but never smth like this

Excellent food. Enjoyed the leg of lamb from the specials menu. Service was a little less-than-attentive but we were at the very beginning of the dinner service and were the only patrons for most of our visit. The quality of the food was superb; it more than made up for the lackluster service.

The paella is delicious and enough for 3. Tasty foods and good services.

I have been here often and it is always hit or miss. The Brussel sprouts are amazingly good. The menu is slightly limited but has enough choices to please most people. Thebservice runs from fantastic to mediocre. I have never had the same wait person twice so I assume there is high staff turn over. The patio is lovely and they have a great selection of wine though most must be bought by the bottle. Go for drinks and sit outside, dinner is not really worth it.

Bottomless brunch was very uninspired. Food was bland. Menu was boring. Drinks were ok. Service was decent. Though, the second order of salmon Benedict was missing the salmon. The place at least looked nice. Won't be returning.

We have tried over 3 years to like this place but every visit has been a disappointment. The service is usually indifferent, drinks are blah, and the menu shrinks with every visit. We ordered the hummus as it’s always been good - until this last visit. The portion is 50% of what it used to be and now tastes and looks like mustard. It was served with 6 small, stale pita triangles. We’re done with Acacia.

We have been here several times, and each time were surprised at how genuinely good the food was. The gourmet onion rings are the best in DC (portion size not huge, but that's okay). The shrimp and grits had this dark, smokey BBQ sauce with a bit of meat, it seemed, that was better than anything I had in the deep South. Their burger is solid. This is one of those places that you derive genuine pleasure from, and can keep coming back. The wine from California we had, while not a "10", is far better than the Cali wines we have had in other DC restaurants (basement level).

Dinner with family who were visiting from out of town. The food was amazing as usual. I had the watermelon salad and salmon pinwheels. They were a bit under staffed with how busy they were so they were not as attentive as they usually would be. We had to ask for service twice.

I've been here a handful of times but keep giving them another chance.. the food is hit or miss but I've had decent experience with the service and the bartender was friendly every time. Van Ness is disappointing when it comes to variety of good places to eat. Brunch is not really Acacia's forte it seems. Ordered medium rare steak and over easy eggs this last time which were super over-cooked and they couldn't figure out how to make an Irish coffee which was disappointing at brunch. I'd maybe go back for drinks/happy hour but I think I've given up on dining here.

If you're looking for a good place to gather with friends, this is the place... Though the waiters weren't to familiar with our drink orders. They did give you a good amount of drink. Would like to see more drink options on the menu and maybe see more following of the recipe

Horrible customer service and directly from the manager, nonetheless! I can clearly see why the ratings are so low or they are constantly cleaning them up and deleting true reviews. I'm not sure if the manager has an issue with women, minorities or everyone, but there's a clear problem. Please spend your money elsewhere! I'm surprised they haven't been shutdown for nastiness and rudeness, due to the way they treat their customers. I don't want to even imagine what the do to peoples food! He could teach a complete course in "How to be Extremely Disrespectful"! Don't waste your time!

We could not believe how inhospitable the manager was! We had to change table as the sun was uncomfortable for a couple of us and he kept ranting about having the clean the space where we briefly sat. We asked about 3 times for the music to be toned down - our group was the only one for early diner with just another table. The waiter complied but the manager would come right back and put he sound up to a level that was uncomfortable for everyone in our group. Paper menus were dirty and obviously not single use. The food was decent but somewhat overpriced.

Love this place. They have great food (highly recommend taco Tuesday) friendly wait staff, and a nice big outdoor eating area. I go there all the time.
