Everything from appetizer to dessert was exceptional! One of the best Italian restaurants we have experienced! Service was excellent and ambiance was lovely. Looking forward to returning!

Al Tiramisu never disappoints. Whenever we are in DC in the Dupont Circle area we head there for dinner. We love that it is small, intimate, on the quiet side, excellent wait staff and of course the food is wonderful. It will continue to be on our 'favorites' list.

Excellent food and service in an attractive setting. Wine list not extensive but a good selection of Italian wines from Tuscany and Piedmont. Not the usual Sicilian American parade of the usual suspect cuisine.

This restaurant has been in the Dupont Circle area for a long time. The owner is gregarious and is frequently on the premises. Charming man. The (primarily Italian) food is consistently good everytime I visit; the wine list offers great values (easy to get a very good bottle of wine for $40.00); and the service is very good (staff are attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and wine). This is a small restaurant, but there are niches throughout the restaurant which offer privacy to diners. It is unlikely you will be placed at a table with other diners 10 feet away from you if, when making a reservation, you ask for a "private" table. You can also dine outside rather "elegantly" in a covered space on P ST NW. The restaurant clientele are primarily persons in their 40s to 60s. Expect to pay at least $50.00 per person. Like all DC restaurants, the place is packed on weekends. If your schedule permits, best days to visit are Tuesdays through Thursday. I live in the neighborhood so I walk to the restaurant, but I believe they offer valet parking for restaurant patrons living in the DC suburbs. Ask when you make your reservation.

It had been five years since my last visit when in town for a conference. Al Tiramisu did not disappoint this trip. Food, service and ambience were wonderful. You simply cannot go wrong for a quiet and delicious dinner near the circle.

Great small restaurant. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We asked for recommendations and were not led astray. Asparagus soup was amazing. Fish was well cooked and seasoned. The wine recommendation was excellent. Limoncello was house made and stunning.worth traveling to DuPont circle for.

If the food was quite good, the Service was really poor. The waiter did not consider us and was just trying and pushing us to consume more. And when he understood that we were not going to ask for more he completely ignored us

The staff was attentive and accommodating. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from and the food was delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The wait time for our food was minimal, and everything came out perfect. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. It was not too noisy, which allowed for easy conversation. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would definitely go back again.

Phenomenal experience. We will absolutely keep coming back until we have had a chance to try everything on the menu! The food was top tier and the staff truly raise the bar for hospitality. This will be the restaurant that we take out of town guests to, because if you're only in DC for a short time, this is the one restaurant that you can't miss!

We had high expectations with our visit, but our waiter was a bit rude. He approached our table when my friend was talking to me . We stopped talking right after we realized we can make an order but he ignored us when we tried to talked to him. The food was also disappointing. We ordered lobster linguine, the lobster was overcooked and salty, and the linguine was firm. The other waiters were kind enough and offered to checked in my coat, but that didn’t make it up for having a bad experience.

Really excellent place, clean and refined.A place where you can rediscover the true Italian spirit, thanks above all to the exquisite hospitality of Luigi and his staff!

Small intimate setting. Professional staff. Ever present; not intrusive. Food was delicious. I’m not surprised this restaurant has stood the test of time. Will definitely return.

My guests and I enjoyed or meals and the hospitality of the restaurant. We sat outside so the occasional loud car went by, but it was not an issue. We plan to come back on our next visit to DC.

This was an incredible experience. From the minute we walked in we felt like we had joined a party in our honor. It felt like someone's home and a beautiful cozy one at that. Every table was having a great time. Everyone sang happy birthday for tables celebrating even the third time it happened it was as rousing as the first. The staff was everywhere all at once, greeting old friends it seemed, laughing with each other and the guests. The service was impeccable recommending so many incredible options off the menu we could hardly decide. Each appetizer and meal was a word of art. The truffles I had were the best I have eaten and the homemade Amaro was stunning. Then they brought my daughter a chrysanthemum! We left walking on air.
