Four of us ate at Alara last night and i'm happy to report that it exceeded our expectations. The food was fabulous: we shared the mixed grilled, which included four succulent lambchops and a variety of other delicious items, and we also loved the moussakka, grape leaves, and classic hummus. The ambiance was gorgeous—Golden Christmas trees, elegant lighting, wonderful bar—and it was not noisy despite many patrons being there. Our server, Ibraham, and the rest of the staff could not have been nicer. I read some bad reviews before coming here, and they seem to have gone to a different restaurant than we did. We're four foodies and not easily pleased, and we were delighted!

I sat at the bar for dinner and a drink, the bartenders gave me great recommendations on both food and drinks. The quality of the food was so wonderful with great balances of flavor. The staff is exceptional. When i come back to town this will be my first dinner stop again!

For our party of 6 we were very happy to be given a cozy table right in the back corner of the restaurant, where we could hear each other. The decor of Alara is beautiful. The food is stylishly plated and delicious. We had a great evening and will be back.

While the food is great, the service is always somewhat lacking for an establishment of this scale. The variety offered in hot & cold mezzeh dishes alone is worth a visit, and we found the Mixed Grill to be a great choice to share among a sizable party. The drinks and desserts are excellent too, just wish that everything came out in a timely manner & the servers were not so awkward and off putting.

Fun little find with some delicious food. However, the added 20% service charge is a watch out for me - seems to be added to all checks but according to the wait staff they don't get much of it. The restaurant should increase their food prices if needed for the business and not mislead the customer.
