Alero Restaurant Dupont

Had a great time dining at Alero. This was our first visit and the description we read said it was "hip and lively," and that's accurate. A large party of birthday celebrators near our table made it very loud but also very festive. It was a Saturday night so we expected a potentially noisy crowd, so that was fine. Our server was attentive and prompt. The food was delicious; we both had enchiladas that were full and tasty. We will likely visit Alero again!

It was fine for a Mexican restaurant, the art was fantastic. It was very loud, and in hindsight I should have thought about that - it is a Mexican restaurant. Service was ok, not perfect. They sat a 8 top right on top of us, and quarters were tight. Once the I top was in, we were forgotten so a little disappointing. I don't live in DC, so I found the cost a little high, but I think that's because I'm coming from out of state. Compared to other restaurants we went to, it's on par with the DuPont Square area.

Thus was our first time at Alero. We had arrived in Washington DC 2 hours prior. Delicious food, great service. We will come again.

Jesus is an amazing server! His happy and upbeat demeanor really made for a great meal. He checked in and was very attentive to our meal. I hope to dine with him again!

Joel was the best and I will definitely be returning with my friends for another girls night :)

My friends and I went this weekend and while I understand the business due to the homecoming bar hops and do not blame them for the wait, everything else was just a waste of time and money. One free TINY basket of chips and a side cup of salsa, then $6 for anything after. We had probably 10 chips in our basket. When our food arrive an hour and a half later it was ice cold, the rice tasted like the uncle Ben's box rice. And we couldn't even ask to get food remade because our waiter was no where to be seen. In the two and a half hours there we saw our waiter twice, barely got refills, and after our food was delivered, did not see them until about an hour after with our bill.

Absolutely fantastic! Joel, the Restaurant Manager and team were above and beyond to make sure my team and I had the greatest experience as we were celebriting Employee Apreciation Week. The food was great and we didn’t wait too long for it.

Best carne asada I’ve had. Amicable staff, very, attentive. Much thanks to Joel and Alberto for such an amazing service and taking care of us. Will definitely come back! Oh and the drinks, ????????

It's a nice restaurant to go and eat at, very vibrant with colours that gives it a stereotypical me Ian feel. The food is always good.
