Went here the other night and had a lovely dinner! Ended up getting their white pie and it was super tasty. Crust was cooked to perfection and had a nice consistency. Would definitely come back here in the future for a night out.

We tried Alfreda while we were staying nearby and we loved it! They have a great, crispy but chewy crust, awesome ingredients and a high end sauce. Throw in a nice atmosphere and an awesome staff and this place was a big win. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Alfreda is a great little spot in Dupont Circle with some seriously impressive pizza. The dough was incredible — light, flavorful, and the kind you actually want to savor on its own. We tried the fig pizza (about $26) and it was excellent — the fig flavor was balanced and not overpowering, making for a really well-done combination.
A couple of notes: there’s an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, and since the restaurant is on the smaller side, reservations may be needed if you’re coming with a group of 6 or more. That said, it’s a cozy, casual location that works perfectly for a quick date night or catching up with a friend over quality pizza.

Me and my friend randomly decided to go to this place to eat some pizza and after seeing good reviews. We ordered their house pizza and added some onions and also got their white sauce. The pizza is over baked and after eating it me and my friend can feel upper and lower part of our mouth skin came off. I have eaten pizza's in lot of italian places around west coast. I am kind of new to east. But I have never experienced such discomfort after eating pizza. I thought it was just me , but now after my told me how bad his mouth was, I am pretty sure this was a bad place. May be just our pizza got burnt. But its really a bad experinece. Another funny thing they added default 20% tip to the bill. I am not sure why, usually if theres 6 people or more this happens.They charged us 30dollars for one pizza , the cost of pizza is 21$. Anyway this place isn't worth these good reviews. So if someone wants to eat pizza , please avoid this place
I would leave 11/10 stars if I could! The ambiance, service, pizza are all divine. The crust is hands down the best crust I ve ever had, save for my dad's recipe. And I ve spent years trying to tweak my own sourdough pizza dough recipe. Well worth it, I wish that I could eat the pizza from Alfreda every day!!! If you like pizza and you don't try Alfredas then you are truly missing out on something wonderful.

Alfreda is a delightful place, serving outstanding pizza but also amazing starters, like melon gazpacho, chicken wings, garlic bread with an amazing cheese-y blend for dipping, and very tasty salads. We were a large party including kids, and everyone was happy, especially with their pizza selections as there are lots of options. Highly recommend!
