The all-you-can eat was a solid choice, especially with our group of four. We literally tried every item on the menu and ordered more of a few dishes. I ate so much I was having a hard time breathing at the end, 10/10 would recommend.

I enjoyed my meal at Ambar, as I have enjoyed previous ones. The menu features small plates, which enabled me to order three different items. I selected a veal soup, which was hot and filled with chunks of meat and vegetables cooked in a creamy broth, cheese pie, and cabbage stuffed with chunks of pork belly and vegetables. All were delicious. The service was efficient but not intrusive. The server let me order two of the three small plates and then determine if I wanted a third, which I did. Anbar reduces prices of its drinks and small plates during its daily Happy Hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. I arrived at 5:30 p.m., so I benefited from the price reductions. The decor inside the restaurant is plain but very functional. I arrived before the crowds, so I enjoyed my meal in peace. I would definitely return for another meal.

The food at Ambar Capitol Hill was fantastic! The kebab was so good we ended up ordering an extra one. The cauliflower and the cheese pita were both amazing — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Balkan wine they recommended was also excellent. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting D.C.!
Must go to in Washington DC. The beets tzakiki is the reason I go here. Unlimited plates and you can add on unlimited alcohol

I had not been to Ambar in a few years and the new $50 all-you-can-eat menu was fantastic! This allows you to try many different small plates full of delicious flavor. This is a wonderful way to experience the many unique Balkan dishes.

I wish the menu would change a bit. It's been the same for a while. Also, not everything tasted as fresh as it normally does. The service and everyone that works there are always amazing!

Really nice area for this rest for a good date night, I would probably say it's really hard to park here and you'll have to park in the neighborhood to find the spot. The atmosphere is really nice and well lit for a good night, if the weather is good I'd say dine outside but if it's like mild 70s then I would go inside because the little barn cover for outside seating doesn't get a lot of air at all. The waiters were super nice and really quick to serve and knew what was good on the menu. Highly recommend the chicken with the apple wasabi. Overall decent date night place or just a good catch-up place as well.
