It can get very busy and crowded so be sure to make reservations! With that being said, although it was very crowded the service was 10/10. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. This was a unique dining experience and the small plates are brilliant idea. I recommend ordering a bit of everything during the first round and try something outside of your comfort zone. Everything I tried was delicious but the standouts to me were the spreads, grilled hanger steak, bacon and grits, salmon Benedict, the mini burger, and the sudzuk flatbread.

My boyfriend and I went for unlimited dinner and drinks and it was so good! Our server, Valentino, was so sweet and kept coming to check on us. We would 110% come back the next time we are in DC.

Ambar offers small plate dishes of traditional Balkan cuisine. My wife and I shared the Ambar Mezza which consisted of four kinds of spreads, three types of sliced meats, pickled vegetables, olives, and in-house made peta and sesame corn muffins. All for $33. See the photo of the menu for the exact ingredients of the spreads. They were all distinctly different and tasted very good. The meal for two was a great value. The mgr was super helpful and attentive to us, assuring a great first time experience.

We came for a party of 6. My friend and I came earlier than the rest of the party (from New York) and they still seated us two earlier than the rest. I didn’t know what to order off the menu but Peter was very accommodating. He kept serving us his favorite choices off the menu off the unlimited / bottomless brunch. Everything he brought was fantastic! He always came back around to check on us, and suggested new things to try. It was so delicious and the way he checked back on us and the service boys kept refilling our drinks, serving us was more than enough. If you ever eat here, please request Peter as your server. I would come back 10/10 just because I felt like he is very attentive. Please give him a raise.

One of my absolute favorite places. They take your dietary restrictions so seriously here. They customize menus letting you know what you can and cannot eat. The bottomless mimosas are always a lovely touch for brunch and I love the tapa style because we could do family style

my boyfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant looking for dinner on our way home. This place was AWESOME!! A little pricey, but for all you can eat and two hours it's definitely worth it. Our favorites were the Goulash and Meat Pie. If we ever come back to DC we will definitely be stopping back.

One of the best dining and group dining experiences ever! Wow— you really get an incredible array of delicious food for an affordable price. Tamara was the best server ever! So sweet and always on top of checking on our table. Only critique is management needs to touch up the chipped paint in the enclosed outdoor area.

We had a group of about 25-30 people and had the “chef’s experience” during brunch hours and I was very impressed with everything we got. Different than the standard brunch unlimited option which I understand would have probably been a mess with that many people. We were seated in front of the restaurant in a cute setting and felt very privateEveryone in our party left very full and it felt like the food just kept coming. We had a little bit of everything from bread with dips and cheese pie, pizza, a mixed entree with eggs potatoes bacon steak lamb sausage, mac and cheese and ended with waffles with I think it was chocolate. Didn’t have any so I can’t recall. They also included unlimited mimosas for the groupIf you’re having a big birthday party or need a table for a big group, this place is the choice for that! Good job Ambar and staff! ??
