Had an incredible experience at Amelie! The vibe and atmosphere were spot on, a very parisian fare. Chef Anthony and Fabio were very nice and accommodating hosts. The duck was perfection. Definitely a must try!

Had the cauliflower shared plate which was very good, and one of the daily specials which was a seared fish with lentils, celery root and fennel and it was outstanding. Service was lovely. We arrived a little early for our 6:15 reservation and she continued to point out the pre-6 pm happy hour options, pointing out that we had 7 minutes left to order them, but was not pressuring or rushing us. There was a very tall slender gentleman who checked in on us, we had a very brief interaction with- bravo to him for converting warmth with an exceptional smile.
I’d highly recommend and the food was really good.

We loved our time here. Aisha was so welcoming but also had excellent recommendations for our first time coming in. One of her suggestions was the salt cod with cheese, and we are SO happy we tried it! Fantastic dish, but it was one winner among all the winning dishes of the night, including baked Camembert, escargot, coq au vin, and duck confit. We came here on a whim before a show, but we’re already planning our return based on this excellent visit and the excellent service. Thank you!!

We stopped by Amélie DC Bistro & Wine Bar for happy hour and absolutely loved it! We were there pretty early, only the fourth table sat, and it filled up super fast - completely packed by 5 PM on a Thursday.
We shared a happy hour–priced bottle of Sauvignon Blanc along with happy- hour priced baked Camembert that tasted amazing - warm, gooey, baked with garlic, thyme, and honey, and truffle fries, perfectly crispy and delicious. The only thing I’d change is the dipping sauce — ketchup didn’t quite fit; an aioli would’ve been perfect.
The mussels in garlic and white wine sauce were out of this world — tender, flavorful, and served with fresh baguette bread in a cute little burlap bag. The baguette was perfect for sopping up all that incredible garlicky white wine broth once the mussels were gone - so good!
Service was excellent - our server checked in often and was so friendly. Great food, great wine, great vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Amelie is hands-down my favorite French restaurant in DC! From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and truly make you feel at home. Their wine list is fantastic. The duck is perfectly cooked and full of flavor, one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Their specials are always changing and always amazing! Every visit feels like a little escape to France. Highly recommend Amelie for anyone looking for incredible food, wine, and service in the heart of DC!
