My favorite breakfast place in Petworth, food is delicious, service is amazing, and it has a very homey atmosphere. I really enjoy the Full Plate Special, the flavors are incredible and the bread is always fluffy. Thank you for so many breakfast and coffee visits!

Utterly delicious. I came from Crystal City specifically to eat at Amen Cafe because of the reviews, and it was completely worth the trip.
Food was perfect, very sweet service (I felt like I was invited into a home), and a relaxing atmosphere to boot. Itâs even right next to the metro!
I literally could not have asked for more, this was exactly what I needed while traveling DC for business. Snapped me out of that hotel food mental haze.

I only stopped in for a cup of tea, but the price was very reasonable. They did not have any iced teas which was disappointing but their hot tea selection was good.
Amen Café is my favorite Ethiopian Cafe in DC. They have everything from staple to specialty dishes, and classic café sandwich/meal options that most full capacity restaurants do not have. I truly think everyone can find something they like. My favorites are the firfir, breakfast platter, smoothies and ginger tea. Britz is the absolute sweetest host and heightens the homey and calming feeling of the cafe.

Incredible coffee shop. The food and the atmosphere is so much better than your average spot. The food is authentic, delicious, extremely fresh (made daily), and reasonably priced. There's also a surprising amount of variety on the menu (never gets boring), and I've never had a bad dish. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, but with plenty of outlets and table space for working (and everything is always clean). It's like a little haven for peace in the area. The owners/staff are extremely friendly, good people, who are uniquely sincere in their exchanges. I always feel lucky to be around them and like they make my day better. My only piece of advice is to look at their entire menu, otherwise you won't be able to guess everything they have, and they almost certainly have multiple items you will love. Wonderful people, wonderful food, coffee, fresh juices, etc. Just go, you will like it. And remember to return their kindness because they are wonderful!

Amen Cafe, located at 3661 Georgia Avenue Northwest in Washington, DC, is a standout spot for delicious food and refreshing beverages. The menu features a delightful range of dishes, including the âDulet,â which reminded me of my mother's cookingâtruly exceptional and comforting. Their coffee is expertly brewed, offering a rich and satisfying experience, while the hot drinks are perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The fresh juices are a vibrant and healthy addition to any meal. The welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the friendly presence of owner Birikti, makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a memorable meal or drink.
