A cozy little cafe that offers the perfect respite from the cold outside. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly, and the food is delicious! Wish I got to try more of the traditional Ethiopian selections on the menu, but all the more reason to go back ☺️

Dingy atmosphere. They didn't have any decaf and they require a $5 minimum for cards, so i had to leave and go somewhere else.

Mimi runs an authentic bistro that is comforting and pleasant at every turn. I highly recommend her lentil samosa, the coffee, or one of her fresh smoothies/juices. If you want to support a Black-owned business in the neighborhood Amen Cafe is a must!

Great location to grab a quick breakfast en route to the Metro, serving a selection of coffees, teas, smoothies, juices, pastries, and plated foods (the breakfast platter looked enticing). For a small shop in a row of small shops, Amen stands out; you can see and feel the care put into it. The staff was helpful, offering suggestions to tailor my order. For whatever it’s worth, they do not serve decaf.

AMEN Cafe has upgraded its furniture and painted. The food and service remain outstanding. AMEN is my home away from home.

Great juices and the excellent spirit of the lady that serves my juices. I tell my school staff to support because the service is wonderful.

Got an iced coffee here. Better flavor than the iced coffees and cold brews that I got from all the other places I tried in the area, like The Coupe on 11th street or Doubles, a little further south on Georgia Ave.

I'm so grateful to have this lovely cafe so close to where I live, even though I would definitely make a mission to come here. This place is so unique compared to other typical coffee shops/cafes. The coffee is delicious and can be spiced with clover or ginger. A simple but special selection of baked goods always leaves me satisfied, along with other delicious food options, such as the foul or breakfast sandwich. The owner, Mimi, knows how to add a special touch to everything she makes and is always experimenting with new foods and flavors that she will let those who stick around sample. Just tried a couple of the smoothies this past weekend and they were spectacular as well! All in all, what keeps me coming back is not the reasonable prices or the quality of the food, but the kindness of the family that runs this places and all that they do for the community. Please check this place out for yourself!

Pretty expensive for the quality and amount of food given. Very clean and relaxing environment but not sure worth the cost.
