AIE has always prided itself on being a dive bar in a solid location with reasonable prices. The first two still hold true — it’s an excellent spot with a great vibe. Unfortunately, the “reasonable prices” part no longer applies.
Like many bars across DC, AIE has followed the trend of steadily increasing prices, even as large parts of the city (I.e fed workers) grapple with job losses and rising costs of living. With tax and a 20% service charge automatically added, you’re looking at $11-12 pints for pretty standard beer. It’s a shame

Great place to go before shows at the 9:30 Club or Atlantis. If you come on a Monday be sure to see Trei (bartender). Always a local fun atmosphere.
One of my favorite neighborhood spots. The food is delicious, specially the nachos, and the drinks are solid. Chill spot and the patio is smoke friendly 👍🏼

Always loved this place until their recent menu & price changes. Food quality went down and portion is less while prices went up.
Also a note, brisket is in MANY of the items on the menu while everytime im there they say they ran out. And they removed the grilled cheese sandwich for some reason
Bring back your prices and old menu, and remove the brisket if you can’t get enough.
It's okay, a standard beer garden. Service was pretty rude though.

Just your local dive bar. It was very crowded on a Saturday with standing room only. There are tables inside and outside but not many of them. They have options on tap and cans available. I personally wouldn’t get food here, the cook was out in the open and the area didn’t look clean. If you’re coming for a quick drink this bar isn’t bad!

Best damn Nachos in DC! The BBQ/ Southwestern food makes for incredible bar fare. Solid beer selection and reasonable pitcher deals . Great place to catch a game or to sit outside whenever it’s not swamp weather.
