Disappointing experience at this Mexican restaurant. The drinks were subpar, especially the $15 margarita, which was the worst I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and head to Guapos in Georgetown for a better Mexican dining option.

Good comfort food but their Fajita combo for 2 for $38 was the same size as the single portion in other restaurants.

I just got carry-out (and tipped) and just sat down in my hotel to eat my dinner. I have no utensils and no napkins! Am I supposed to eat with my fingers?! The steak isn't tender and the food isn't good--threw most of it in the trash. Waste of money and won't return.

We walked down Wisconsin Ave and turned on M St and walked right into this delightful surprise that was fabulous in service, ambience and the food!! Well, let's not waste words, the food is Awesome! All 3 orders beat all expectations... Chicken fajita was exceptional, the quesadilla very soft and crispy at the same time and the burrito soaked delightful.Thank you for that flavor trip! ?Must visit and revisit ?

Amigo Mio has strong versions of the standard Mexican (American/Mexican) offerings -- quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, and the like. It occupies a narrow storefront on M Street in the heart of Georgetown. Service is friendly and good. There is a private parking lot next door -- pricey ($22) but therefore usually available.

Food was very good. Eadh plate had more tood than any of us could eat at one time. Decor was very Mexican.

Visiting from SC, we stopped in for a margarita and was welcomed in by friendly faces and the best margarita we had all weekend! Taga and Aka were responsive and accommodating and such nice company! We even got complimentary tequila shots. It was a great way to end our Georgetown visit! :)

I went here for Cinco de Mayo and it was an absolute disaster you could not pay me to recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy! I would not wish such an awful experience on anyone. When we arrived at the restaurant a server spilled salsa on someone in my party, and proceeded to leave the food and the dish at our table leaving a big mess, because he was "confused". We decided to let this incident go, but the hostess was high and the establishment was filled with high schoolers, those of which servers were pouring alcohol in their mouths from a bottle that had been passed around the entire restaurant marketed as "free shots" Later on in the dinner many of our orders were wrong as well as drinks, bringing us to a large total. We attempted to revise the situation by attempting to speak with the manager, we were told he did not want to speak with us. Overall terrible experience staff is intoxicated and or high something strange is going on here I would not recommend but if you enjoy chaos then Amigo Mio is the perfect place for you! -5/10

This a must! The music is constantly playing and makes you want to dance and sway. The hospitality is amazing and the new owners is constantly waiting on the customers and kept us smiling and laughing! The frozen margaritas were delicious and you can’t just have one. I cannot wait to come back time and time again?

The staff are EXTREMELY friendly. I love this place with my whole heart, this is the definition of a family restaurant and you are missing out if you don’t go here!!! Not only are the main bartender and his son amazing, the food is also amazing and the service is fast and reliable! I will forever recommend this place to my friends because of how the staff will always treat anyone like family as long as you give them the respect that is well earned!

We stopped into Amico Mio on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar and had a great time. The ambiance is authentic and the drinks are delicious. It’s always great learning about family owned businesses and I look forward to supporting again.
