Absolutely our favorite meal of our last visit to DC. This is Mexican-inspired food at its finest. Smallish place, a bit dark, a few street parking spots, recommend taking the Metro or rideshare. Service is very good. The food is imaginative, but heavily influenced by Mexican tradition. Execution is excellent. My wife had perfectly cooked fish in a lovely dark mole sauce. We ordered extra housemade blue corn tortillas to soak up the left over mole. I ordered the potato tacos off...
We got the two different tacos on their 2024 summer brunch menu. Both exceeded our expectations. Though pricy, definitely worth trying. Cactus salad and chilaquiles were also pretty tasty! Ceviche was ok, not my favorite
Food was great and we loved the flavors, was spicy!
Service was very slow and took 45 mins after our reservation time started before we had something other than water on our table.
Be ready for the price as well - $29 for chips and 3 salsas/guac.
All tasted good, just a bit pricey for what service and food you're getting.
