$25 for two cups of extremely burnt coffee and a tiny sandwich that took me three bites to eat that wasn't even all that good.

If they have a 12% mandatory gratuity charge plus an optional tip, and we are about to get our prices skyrocketed due to more tariffs... Why not just ensure the funds are being properly used to pay your employees, or raise the prices to exactly what you need to pay them properly.

Nice people, nice crowd, but wow are those some predatory prices for extremely small servings of subpar food.

Parking: Don't even try coming here unless you live in the building it's attached to, I only went there because I had to work on the property and my blood sugar dropped.

Don't get me wrong the food tastes good, but the portion size is miniscule. $10 for a sandwich that was just so tiny. The coffee tastes burnt, didn't see the sign about the automatic tip, so I tipped extra. $25 for 2 coffees and the smallest sandwich I've ever seen. I would never choose to come here again.

I really wanted to love this cafe, but a few things threw me off. The prices seemed affordable at first, but after the unexpected 12% service charge and DC’s already high taxes, my total was a lot higher than I expected. That said, my scallion pancake sandwich was really good—the sauce added so much extra flavor! The drip coffee was also solid, and the location is great. I’d love to see them cut down on these extra fees, though, because the cafe itself is gorgeous inside. I can definitely spend an afternoon here reading

I just had the literal best experience. I did not catch my server's name, but I went in to the cafe and asked for a matcha latte and because I love Lavender, asked if they happened to have lavender syrup. I was expecting a no, but there was the most wonderful barrista/server/human who volunteered to make me lavender syrup FROM SCRATCH! And it came out so so so good!! Thank you so much! You made my Monday such a wonderful day! I'll be back any day now. I know this isn't something to expect regularly, but I can't say enough how much joy it brought me that he was willing to do this. Excellent restaurant, excellent service!

After a long walk down to the National Mall, I decided to stop by this spot, fully set on ordering the fish sandwich. To my surprise, they were out of it, so I opted for the Rangoon Crab Dip and French fries instead—and I’m so glad I did! The crab dip was fantastic, and the chips that came with it were equally impressive. The fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly cooked. During happy hour, I had two drinks the Comeback Queen and the Hibiscus Margarita based on the bartender’s recommendations, and they were spot on.

I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this place, which is just around the corner from me. Definitely a hidden gem!

Beautiful and welcoming interior with cozy vibes and comfortable eating/seating arrangements. I could see myself spending some time in here with my laptop similar to others.

Simple counter service, although it looks like they might be doing table service too on occasion. Paper menus to look at while waiting in line, the energy was friendly and lively.

Don't take my word for it, but people had their dogs inside which makes me think this is a dog friendly restaurant, but I would check with the staff. The restaurant also appears to have a direct opening with an apartment building that is dog friendly and naturally residents had their dogs in there.

The menu had many interesting options, but I was here for the scallion pancake breakfast sandwich. I ordered the maple sausage variety as well as a large drip coffee. The cashier was friendly as as normal as any other cashier and made sure to ask if I needed room for cream in the coffee. They took my name and then a short wait they had the coffee followed by the sandwich.

The sandwich looks really appetizing, crispy scallion exterior with a well proportioned amount of each ingredient.

The coffee was excellent, strong flavor, bold in house beans, as good of a coffee as you would expect.

The sandwich was an amazing flavor with all the ingredients and the chili crisp was the perfect accompaniment, HOWEVER, there was one thing that may or may not have been intentional. Upon biting the sandwich I could tell there was some cold ingredient in the sandwich. At first I thought the spicy mayo was cold, but as I continued to eat I realized, the eggs were cold! I am not sure if this was intentional. I've had steamed eggs before, I know when they are fresh they are so soft that they hardly have any ability to stand up and hold their form. Also steamed eggs can overcook easily so it makes sense that they would likely keep the steamed eggs in either a chilled area or room temperature and then cut them to serve. Regardless, I wish the steamed egg was not cold. I am not sure what the solution is but I will be back to see if they give a cold steamed egg again. Everything else about the sandwich was perfection.

Such a vibe; great service. They do add 12% gratuity off top but the service is awesome. I got the kimchi egg and cheese sandwich and OMG! Amazing!

My first time trying a scallion pancake sandwich and it was amazing! Love the vibe inside Any Day Now. I tried their maple sausage scallion pancake sandwich and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee was delicious, strong and a good balance of sweet. The sandwich was amazing! I loved the chili oil it came with as well. The sweetness from the maple adds a great balance to the sausage. The scallion pancake was nice and crispy. Overall a great breakfast.

Great atmosphere but poor food and service. Counter service only, including utensil and food pick up, even when there aren’t any customers and staff members are just chatting away with each other.

The food was mediocre at best. While the “fusion” food was quite innovative and interesting (the whole reason why the decision was made to pay the visit), there was no taste and the sandwich couldn’t be practically eaten — by hand or using fork and knife — as the pancake layers were extremely hard. That is, unless, you dunk your whole sandwich in the chilli oil that comes with the pancake… Disappointingly served in a single use plastic container despite dining in.

The staff members made absolutely no attempts to make the visit special, for us or for other customers, offering no more than the bare minimum of “service”. I witnessed other customers struggling to bring their large order to their table and instead of helping the customer, they had to make multiple trips to help themselves. This was disappointing to see, especially because the place was not busy at all and they were not serving any other customer — they were chatting with each other and kitchen staff. Watching this during the meal was quite upsetting and made us regret giving the extra generous extra tip at the time of ordering (at the ordering counter), which was on top of the 12% mandatory fee charged by the establishment on all bills.

The drinks (coffee latte and matcha latte) were pretty average, nothing special to note.

The atmosphere is nice, so if you’re looking for somewhere to bring your laptop to do some work, this is a decent place. If you’re looking for some good food or drink? You’re better off finding somewhere else.

Very disappointing visit overall.
