The fufu and Egusi was a hit. Owner was so friendly too. If I lived in DC, I would definitely come here all the time!

Found this place via google search. What a find!! Very authentic and delicious Ghanaian dishes. I had the red-red with chicken. It's my favorite Ghana dish and it was great. Huge portion ended up being dinner and leftovers for lunch. I'll definitely be back. Need to try the oxtails and egusi and waatye (sp?).

Small, cozy, and community-oriented, this DC joint is cracking and smacking. As my first time having Ghanaian food, I can say the cuisine is authentic-all that spice and everything nice! The portions are generous and the service responsive, especially when a bunch of educators also known as "out-of-towners" come stomping in looking for some DC flava!

The hours of operation are outdated. I drove to DC on a Sunday and discovered the restaurant opens 4 hours later than the time listed on Yelp and Google

The jollof rice and the meat was extremely dry and hard. This is the most flavorless food I’ve ever tasted in my life. The food was cold the only thing warm was the fufu. The food tasted old. I’m so disappointed I tried to continue eating because it cost 30+ just for this plate but I never touched it after taking the photo and I threw up. If I could give zero stars I would. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Please stay away from the apioo fried goat if you ain’t a baller. About small 5 pieces of goat for 15 bucks(pic included). I was livid when I got Home. It was very tender and tasty thoughBought banku and okra and definitely was lacking spices. Definitely wasn’t for me. My partner on the other hand ordered waakye with goat and she said it was really good and compared it to some waakye back home. She gave the waakye 5/5

This place is going down hill. They don't represent the African food culture that great. I ordered the Appioo plater with chicken and beef. The chicken taste old the beef was tough I was very disappointed by my food. The Eugusi soup was good but the food has really fallen this is not my first time eating from this restaurant but I will consider other Ghanaian restaurants. The prices went up and the food went down considering the prices says the amount is not worth the prices it's not equaling up the food is not great it tastes old since business is Slow.

Reviews do not lie about the service and the wait times, so make sure you don’t have anything planned after dinner.I don’t have familiarity with Ghanaian food, but the food was very tasty! The beans and spinach stew were our favorites. The jollof rice was flavorful but seemed a bit dry. Overall, very cool culinary experience.
