Dropped in for dinner before going to a concert at The National City Christian Church at Thomas Circle. 100% - Great Latin American flavors. The various Arepas are delicious, including Vegetarian options, and the service was wonderful on a freezing-cold day.

Been here twice to pick up to go. Every time I got here I was told 5 mins to wait but be prepared to wait at least another 15 mins. Food never ready many uber eats/doordash drivers waited by the door.

I really liked this place! I liked the bread balls filled with cheese. A lot of the food looked good. It was a really chill place. I ordered an empanada with ground beef and it was delicious. My family got different kinds of arepas and they said they all liked them.

Overpriced for what you get. Went to pick up the Christmas bread and ham and grabbed an Arepa after I picked up the pan y jamon. The arepa was over priced and the pan y jamon was mostly bread. I will make my own next year.

I came here three times… yeap! It’s been a while since I had a good Venezuelan Arepa and from the first time I loved it! The staff is so friendly and plenty of seating space although one evening it was busy. So worth stopping by. They also have different beverage options
Arepa Zone offers a very different variety of Latin American cuisine ... very tasty food ... affordable prices. I recently ate in-store, but made an extra to-go order to bring back for a colleague. I asked them to delay the to-go order by about ten minutes. As I ate my food, I kept glancing towards the counter to see if the to-go order was ready ... but it never came up. I feared they were waiting for me to finish, and I would have to wait for it to be prepared ... BUT NO ... they were keeping it in a warming tray, waiting for me to pick it up. That's an extra classy bit of special service that I truly appreciated!!!

No regret walking 15 min for food. Emoanada seafood. Umami smell already reaches me from the counter. The crust is a bit hard to cut through in the small paper box, with the soft forks. The dough is mildly sweet, as other reviews mention. Goes well with seafood and lovely as my dessert heehee. The filling is slightly spicy and warming, lots of small pieces of seafood:)
The arepa looks small but is really filled to its extreme. Flavorful lean yet juicy chicken. The arepa pocket itself is thinner and more crispy than the Colombia ones I had, the latter of which preserves more moisture and chewiness. Sauce is tangy and refreshing. I don’t have my +1 number anymore so I cannot order via the official website, and delivery platforms don’t have the full menu. I ended up forgetting to at black bean and avocado to my arepas.
Lunchtime wait time is about 10-15 min.
The nutrition sheet is more about dietary requirements and allergies. No calories info.
