The staff as always are incredible. The food was amazing! Thank you for changing the food. I haven't been for a while but was glad to see some delicious options back on the menu. The jambalaya smelled and tasted incredible. The oxtail bombs were really good too.

We celebrated our dog's 11th birthday with brunch on the patio They have a special menu for dogs and are very accommodating. The musician that was playing during brunch did a special birthday song for her. It was so sweet!

I took my coworker out to lunch for her last day. We ordered the deviled eggs. Sparkling water, I had the chicken sandwich and she had the chicken entree. The deviled eggs were extremely bland and tasteless. Definitely not worth $17 for 3 bland eggs. My bread was burnt on my sandwich and not edible. The chicken was good but for over $100 this meal was totally not worth the cost. Will not recommend or return to this restaurant.

I recently visited Chef Art Smith's Homecoming in Chicago where I was lucky enough to enough to meet him in person and had a wonderful meal. When I realized he had another restaurant in DC I knew I had to come when I was in town. Unfortunately, the experience was a complete let down from the service to the food. Took about 7 minutes for anyone to come to the table. Our meal arrived minutes of ordering and it was clear it had just been sitting in warming stations for a while and scooped onto our plates. Chicken was hard, mashed potatoes cold. We got our drinks (a beer in a can) a while after our food came. We made a reservation for 145 for lunch, apparently they close from 2-3, so we were seated in the hotel lobby - and this is not a nice hotel with ambiance, it's a Yotel? I believe Chef Arts himself would be shocked and disappointed if he were to visit. Go elsewhere - but visit his Chicago location!

Breakfast breads were old and stale. Manager acknowledge we were celebrating (“I see you're celebrating”) when greeting us and then ... nothing. We had planned on buying a bottle of sparkling and really having a good time... but poor service and really below par food.

The service improved as we went on but it was unfortunate that they were out of three main courses. The Manhattans were served with a lot of little ice cubes which was odd but the bar did fix it and serve with one large cube on request.

This was a birthday dinner for me. My husband and I got married here 11 years ago and we come back every so often. I realize that the hotel and everything were renovated recently, but I felt like the lobby and restaurant as a whole seemed more casual than I remember. But the food, is still the same excellent, savory, delicious food. We had the crab dip to start. It was served with deep fried bread. Very cheesy and tasted great. I had the fried chicken which was crispy and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and greens were scrumptious too. Hubby had the steak frites which was delicious as well. The birthday was rounded out by the citrus creme brulee. It was so creamy and light and very good with the berries and whipped cream. Our server Viktor was a wonderful host and was very attentive, friendly and professional. He made our evening!

We had a group of ten and our server was excellent -- they use a team and waters and beverages were consistently refreshed, dirty dishes removed and just all around great service, which is hard to get with a large group. And, the food was delish!

Booked in advance for 8 people. Once we arrived we were informed no server was assigned and we had to order everything at the bar. Overpriced airport food. Extremely loud music. Would not recommend.

We loved Art & Soul! It was Greta for our large group and management was friendly & very accommodating. The servers were great and very helpful. We'd definitely go again! Art & Soul is in a great location to show visitors DC- we took a picture at the capitol! Would love if there was live jazz on Saturday mornings as well!

Love going to this restaurant, but my son was disappointed to find out that they only serve waffles and chicken on weekends.

Was excited to learn there was an Art Smith's restaurant in DC after eating at his Homecomin' in Disney Springs. Went with high expectations, but left disappointed. Everything on the menu sounded good, but the food fell flat. Started with the steak and cheese egg rolls and crab dip. The crab dip was good and crostini perfectly prepared. The egg rolls lacked the flavor and were over powered with a doughy taste and texture. Our entrees were the fried chicken, steak frites and chicken sandwich. Both chicken dishes were overly breaded with tiny pieces of chicken under all the coating. The chicken sandwich after the coating had about three bites of chicken. Sandwich bread was good as were the fries. Steak was very tough. Everything was edible, but nothing stood out. Ended with the warm brownie sundae, which was flavorful and a positive note to end on. Our waiter would disappear for long times which was unfortunate and made for a long meal. Highly recommend his Homecomin' restaurant in Orlando, but this DC restaurant didn't impress.

Came for brunch and the food was good, but they randomly closed early. Overall the service was great.

all four of our brunch meals were fabulous. My friend said that the grilled salmon on her salad was the best she'd ever had.

Loved the food. Menu not extensive but there is enough of a selection. Wait staff was very responsive when asked for something but left our table alone for a long time.
