Coffee: excellent yirgacheffe, correctly prepared every single time.
Food: a nice assortment of baked goods to go with the coffee. I often get bagels, which are solid. The real secret though is that you can get a plate of Ethiopian tibs that is always excellent.
Atmosphere: this place has a vibe that you don't really get anywhere else in the area. I don't know, maybe I just like the music.
Verdict: easily one of the top 5 places in DC to get a cup of coffee.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I went there, horrible customer service. I absolutely hate the place end up not even getting anything.
Really delicious food! Careful if you order a smoothie, the mango avocado ended up being $10 and not $6.50. It was a delicious smoothie though. Hopefully they will put up a sign about the price soon. Otherwise, some of the best Ethiopian food I've tried in the area! I hope they bring back the injira rolls.

Delicious breakfast at Buna today! My man and I got the Ful with eggs and the Ethiopian Scrambled Eggs with Injera. One of the best Ethiopian scrambled eggs I've had in the area. It was spiced well, and the eggs were fluffy and scrumptious. Love the sprinkle of mitmita!
The ful was creamy with some chunky beans for texture. I love how they give you the garnishes separately: onions, tomatoes, and yogurt. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft inside, the perfect balance with the ful.
Sambusa was spicy, crunchy and packed with flavor.
Great selection of teas, but definitely recommend adding Spiced Ethiopian tea.
The Nitro latte was to the standards of my coffee-loving man.
The cafe is cozy with plenty of outdoor seating. Which we took advantage of, on this beautiful day. Service was personable and fast.
As a very picky eater, especially when it comes to Ethiopian food, I left with my craving satisfied and excited to come back.

I needed to kill some time before a meeting and happened upon Büna around the corner. It's a small corner cafe with more room inside than you might think at first glance. Good outdoor seating as well. Amazing customer service and fantastic coffee options.

Just left and had the best brunch. I got the brunch platter and I loved every bite of it. I also snagged a bite of my fiancé’d tibs and that was so delicious as well! Definitely will be coming back. They have a nice patio area so you can enjoy the weather and have wonderful food. I also will say, I am not a big coffee person but I enjoyed sipping on my fiancé’s iced mocha.

Such a cute and wholesome neighborhood cafe that has some delicious food. The eggs were actually phenomenal and I am truly a sucker for good ethiopian breakfast foods. Coffee waw also pretty solid and the service was great. The folks that work there are very sweet. Perfect spot to catch up or grab a bite!

Great local neighborhood appt we went to after visiting Lincoln’s cottage. Suggested by one of the tour guides.. wow what a gem of a spot. The kids got a huge club sandwich and the wife and I split a bowl.. so good, great hidden gem!

Rude and nasty really bad customer service told me that he had other customers that were in front of him that more important than me because I was trying to order over the phone and online
Great place and food - their bowl is amazing!
Büna is always the go-to coffee shop in the neighborhood. Their coffee is so good. The Büna Bowl is FANTASTIC!

There is absolutely no sense of customer service here. No greetings when you walk in or seeming concern. There were 3 employees working and not one even said hello when I walked in. I watched the bald gentleman at the cash register not greet any customers when they walked in. He barely answered my question when I asked him what was in the mango smoothie. He just seem unfazed and like he wanted to be anywhere else but there. I mean I get it, but a simple smile and acknowledgement of people trying to give business goes along way. Will not come back.
