Such a cute and wholesome neighborhood cafe that has some delicious food. The eggs were actually phenomenal and I am truly a sucker for good ethiopian breakfast foods. Coffee waw also pretty solid and the service was great. The folks that work there are very sweet. Perfect spot to catch up or grab a bite!

Great local neighborhood appt we went to after visiting Lincoln’s cottage. Suggested by one of the tour guides.. wow what a gem of a spot. The kids got a huge club sandwich and the wife and I split a bowl.. so good, great hidden gem!

Rude and nasty really bad customer service told me that he had other customers that were in front of him that more important than me because I was trying to order over the phone and online
Great place and food - their bowl is amazing!
Büna is always the go-to coffee shop in the neighborhood. Their coffee is so good. The Büna Bowl is FANTASTIC!

There is absolutely no sense of customer service here. No greetings when you walk in or seeming concern. There were 3 employees working and not one even said hello when I walked in. I watched the bald gentleman at the cash register not greet any customers when they walked in. He barely answered my question when I asked him what was in the mango smoothie. He just seem unfazed and like he wanted to be anywhere else but there. I mean I get it, but a simple smile and acknowledgement of people trying to give business goes along way. Will not come back.

A big part of D.C. is the Ethiopian community and Buna Coffeehouse is one of several Ethiopian cafes in the city. This one is beloved by the neighborhood. Service is always on point and the space inviting.
I enjoyed my iced latte. It's most strong and darker than I'm used to, but I really enjoyed it with a splash of simple syrup from the condiment bar.
To eat, they sell bagels, sandwiches, and more. Popping in for breakfast, I ordered a chocolate chip muffin. It comes full of little chocolate chips, but it was very dry. I recommend asking it to be warmed up beforehand.

One of my fave coffee shops Uptown
Simple spot for AMAZING Ethiopian breakfast. We were satisfied all day to walk around dc, but not uncomfortably full. The brunch platter is the way to go and a perfect thing to split. We sat outside in the morning November sun which made it so nice!
