The person at the front desk is very rude. We have a service dog and he did not let us in. He questioned the validity of the service dog in front of a lot of people. I offered to show him the documentation, but he refused. Very bad experience.

Just reviewing so I can recommend the green mango salad and the thai vermicelli. We also got the beef salad and Kha soi, but personally I didn't like them.

Wow, what a letdown! So, it was the first day I traveled in DC and was excited have my first dinner at your restaurant. But guess what? Heavy traffic had other plans. Despite calling ahead to explain and apologize for our delay, we were met with indifference and no other solutions even though we could see there were still tables available for later in the evening on google reservation page, and we offered to wait in the walk-in line or book for later, which means you would not have any lost as we called in advance and you could let other customers come in, or we would arrive soon and having dinner there. But instead of understanding or getting a constructive solution, we got hit with a hefty $60 cancellation fee. Seriously? We just booked a table for 2 adult and 1 toddler. What also really stung was finding out about this fee in tiny font at the bottom of the reservation page. The girl on the phone also didn’t say anything about cancellation fee, she sounds like “welcome to cancel, we don’t care you as our customer “, which might be your true thought.Just wanted to share this sad tale in the hopes that maybe you’ll reconsider your cancellation policy and be a bit more upfront about it in the future. It’s the little things that can make or break a customer’s experience, you know? I heard from red books that you charge at least 20% tips as compulsory for service, but I truly feel the arrogant and indifference service at the very beginning.

The price is very reasonable, the inside is clean and comfortable, and the food is so fresh. I must order the Thai black tea ice cream here after the main meal. It melts in your mouth. The best ice cream I have ever tasted.

Usually the food is more creative and delectable; today, both dishes were overcooked and a little under seasoned, not bland, yet not vibrant. Still going back; 5 previous meals have fully rated 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The worst experience at DC. The host and waitress was super rude and doesn't sound like want to serve anyone. The food is average. You can find better Thai restaurants with better taste and better service in the area.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Upon arrival, the guy at the bar was on point with water and the menu. Never skipped a beat. Taking order for drinks, for food, refill, and check. Everything is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. This place is pretty big, but it gets busy. I arrived at 5 pm to beat crowds, and the crowds were there 20 minutes later. I planned at eating at the bar, but found out there were no tables anyway. So, by all means, make a reservation. My only thing is that space all around the bar is tight. Chairs right next to each other, good for meeting, but if you are with someone, the next person over is with you too, LOL.Flavors and portions were perfect. Note pay attention to the number of chilies on your dish, I eat spicy, and 3 was pretty spicy. I don't want to know what level 4 is.I'll be back, loved the place.

Eating at Baan Siam is a culinary journey that transports diners to the heart of Thailand with its exquisite cuisine and warm ambiance. The open kitchen concept invites guests to witness the magic happening behind the scenes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the dining experience. The decor is simple, yet modern with touches of elegance adorning every corner, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between low-key and upscale. But it's the food that truly steals the show at Baan Siam. Each dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly crafted using traditional Thai techniques. I absolutely was mind-blown by the Khao soi gài (Egg noodles, chicken thigh, pickled cabbage, scallions, red onion, and northern Thai chili paste). My coworker had a beef soup that came with garlic rice that was also a delicious stand out. We couldn't get over how every bite was better than the last. Adding to the exceptional experience is the professional and attentive staff, who elevate the dining experience with their impeccable service and genuine hospitality. Whether you're a seasoned Thai food enthusiast or a newcomer to the cuisine, the staff at Baan Siam are always on hand to guide you through the menu and ensure that every aspect of your meal is nothing short of perfection. And let's not forget about the convenient location, making Baan Siam the perfect choice for a leisurely lunch or a memorable dinner outing for anyone near downtown. Whether you're in the mood for a casual meal with friends or a romantic evening with a loved one, Baan Siam delivers on every front, promising an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you coming back for more.
