I stayed at the Eaton hotel and had a breakfast package, which is why I tried Baker’s Daughter. It has a cute atmosphere. The market is not a market (I don’t think that marketing is accurate). Their latte and matcha were nice. But the thing that really gave me a chuckle was how they have somehow managed to make food that neither offends or wows. It is just food, no real flavor. It’s not nasty, maybe dry, but mostly flavorless. Otherwise the service was fine and it is conveniently located. I have more credits for this cafe and Michele’s but I don’t know if it’s worth it to save coin or prioritize my time and go to a better resteraunt nearby.

Cute coffee and sandwich shop, in the same building as the Eaton Hotel. I had breakfast and lunch - yummy. Drip coffee was tasty as well. Friendly service, enough space.

Ive been looking around for a place that sells good breakfast sandwiches, and Ive found it.2nd time in a row ordering the bacon egg n cheese biscuit 🔥.They even were nice enough to add extra egg in place of avocado. One of my new favorite restaturants
Ate here for free since I stayed at the hotel. Food was good, but they had 100 metal knives and 0 forks. I had to use a tiny baby plastic fork to eat and cut everything, and ended up accidentally cutting the fork because it was so flimsy and got under my knife. Ended up with microplatics everywhere and threw away the food. Btw I asked for a metal fork and they didn't have any. Extremely weird since they have 100 of every other metal utencil.
We visited Bakers Daughter Washington for some snacks and found it to be a really nice place. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, making it a good spot for a light bite or a relaxed break.
The snacks we tried were tasty and well prepared, and the overall vibe of the café/lounge felt comfortable and inviting. It’s a nice place to unwind, grab something to eat, and enjoy a casual visit.
Overall, Bakers Daughter is a good option if you’re looking for a friendly, relaxed place to have snacks or a light meal while passing through or staying nearby.

Lady taking orders behind the counter is downright rude and impatient very unprofessional. The toast I got was soggy and the salmon salad is very mid. Eggs and avocado were great

The chorizo breakfast burrito is ridiculously good. Pricey and looks small but it's very filling.

The Cubano sandwich must have been pre-made because it appears they microwaved the bread way too much and I could not eat the bread. The bread was like cardboard in some places and hard as a rock in other places. It had one very thin slice of ham and one thin slice of a pickle.

Stayed in DC for today's for a work event and wanted a breakfast sandwich each morning. Baker's daughter hit the spot. The food was tasty, the latte was sufficiently caffeinated, the location was very clean, and it was a very short wait for my food.
The first day I ordered the egg and cheese on croissant and the avocado toast with pickled onions and a fried egg on top. Both were satisfying. The croissant was flaky and buttery perfection.
I was excited to try the the pumping latte because it was supposed to be pumpkin flavored rather than pumpkin spice. It was ok. It tasted more neutral. But still a good latte.
The chocolate chip cookie was perfect. The raspberry baked item (I forget the name) was a 4 out of 5. The glazed donut was absolutely stale and should not have been that early in the day.
Service on day 1 was not great. The woman ringing me up offered no greeting and fully rung me up without speaking to me. Even when I added the pastry items, she continued to not speak. She only asked for my name when I asked to add the latte. No other words were spoken..
Service aside, the egg and cheese brought me back the second day and was just as good the second time around. The woman who rang me up on the second day has better customer service. I will go again for the breakfast sandwich and chocolate cookies.

It was pretty good. I created my own sandwich. Will I be back? Maybe. But I’d probably explore other places.

Espresso tasted burnt and the drip coffee was very weak.
The avocado toast is my favorite item here! The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is excellent. On a nice day you enjoy the open air seating while having a meal.
