I really want to love this place. It's a locally owned chain serving great tacos and burritos, unless you're a pescatarian or vegetarian. For whatever reason, they refuse to serve anything other than the most anemic fish and veggie portion. It's confusing because the price is almost the same (if not more) yet if you order chicken/beef/anything non fish you get a heaping portion. I have tried to order fish tacos here 5 (yes 5) times and every single time there has been absolutely no fish other than what can best be described as an insult.

So in short, a great locally owned burrito/taco joint. Just absolutely do not order a fish or vegetarian order, you will be overcharged, underwhelmed, and hungry.

Wow. Straight up inedible. I have frankly never had a worse taco.

I ordered steak, chorizo, beef, and carnitas. Carnitas was edible, but everything else was not. Chorizo was literal slop.

I love Bandit Taco! It's so fresh, so delicious and at a great price! The service is always good and pretty fast, but that can depend on what you order. Some of the proteins are cooked only after ordering. My favorite so far is their crispy shrimp bowl. The bowls have generous servings. For me, it's enough to split into two meals. There's not too much breading on the shrimp, and their flavor is amazing! I could eat the shrimp all by themselves. I wish you guys would do some lingua(tongue).

Would give it 5! In recent months service has slowed considerably. What used to take 5 minutes now takes 20 or more sometimes. Food tastes great, but it no longer is a quick takeout spot

Ordered in advance and arrived after I received a text that it was ready. When I asked they said it wasn’t. Took over 30 min from time I ordered until I receive the food — 20 min after I was told it wasn’t ready.

Bandit Taco has become one of my go-to spots in DC for a quick and tasty meal. Their guacamole is some of the best around, super fresh and flavorful every time. I’ve tried both the burritos and the bowls and never been disappointed with the taste. I also have to give a shoutout to their salsa verde—seriously addictive.

That said, the service can be a little hit or miss. Orders aren’t always perfect, and sometimes it takes longer than you’d expect for a casual spot. The staff doesn’t exactly go out of their way to make you feel welcome, which can be a bit of a letdown. And service is anything but quick. 20 minutes for tacos is normal.

Even with those quirks, the food is what keeps me coming back. It’s consistently good, the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors always hit.

Quality very LARGE burrito, only disappointment was the amount of potatoes in the end of it and lack of meat. Great flavor and high quality ingredients.

The tacos are great and the yuca fries are always fresh. The customer service was pleasant. My only concern is the bathroom didn’t have soap and it wasn’t clean it’s like no one takes care of the restroom which makes me wonder if the people that work there are washing their hands.

I first heard of this place from the owner only becuae we both 49ers fans. I seriously can't believe that I'm actually given it 3 Stars when I wanted to give 5 only reason why because of the less amount of protein you get nowadays versus when they first open up on New Hampshire Avenue! It used to be a even amount of everything now is just a lot of lettuce pico de gaio rice beans and a little bit of protein and a little bit of cheese. Don't see myself coming no more to waste my money, happen to many times. Peace!
