Two days late on this review, but my parents were visiting town for Easter weekend and we needed a place to grab some apps and drinks while waiting on a later reservation. Could not have been a better choice than heading into Bar A Vin. The atmosphere was fantastic, and while we came for a few drinks, we were blown away by the quick apps and food. Nam, our server was polite and very accommodating to what I can describe as an eccentric bunch (my family is all over the place sometimes). Was a ton of fun, and we are already planning on coming back next time they are in town (and to try their attached restaurant next door!). Keep up the great work!
P.S. my girlfriend had the Hay Fever cocktail and has not stopped raving about it since

I like the place but the bar manager (Jewel) over stressed and she do know to deal with special situation, my friend she has a small cute service dog and she was hugging her dog while we are enjoying ourselves, her dog came down to the sofa almost on her lap all the sudden she came to us and she was talking with us so she was not a professional with a tune even her expressions was 😡 not good at all. review.

This is a great date spot for pre-dinner drinks. The cocktails are good (and strong). There is a cute colonial vibe. I have never eaten here, so I can't speak to the food.

I couldn’t find this place at first - it is through an unassuming entry next to sister restaurant Chez Billy Sud. Came in with the intention of having a cocktail or two but fortunately decided to stay for dinner. And what a dinner it was - the steak frites were solid (but still steak frites) but the beetroot salad was out of this world. Service was excellent, wine list covered a lot of France (would have loved a white burgundy on there though) and desserts exceptional.
This place has gone straight in to our top five meals of all time.
Perfect spot for a glass of wine and a french dinner in an old historic atmosphere in Georgetown.Wine selection was nice, and the bottle we chose tasted divine. The food was also spectacular. Definitely arrive early, as the tables and bar seats do fill up quickly!

what a cute place! lovely ambiance and good vibes. definitely a more mature crowd. sat at the tucked away table near the window as you walk in, and it is the most perfect, intimate spot. furniture was breaking though - chair was rocky and leg loose. also for being called bar a vin, very lackluster wine options. perhaps their cocktails are better?

Very unassuming place from the outside but it opens up into an impressive bar area when you walk through the door. Staff were friendly - I had a glass of rosé wine and soda water - (Dropping a star as they charged 4dollars for the soda water from the tap!)
