It's a VIBE. The drinks are delicious, and everyone in the space is there to throw a party. Cocktail bars can be intimidating sometimes, but the people at Bar Betsie will make sure you're comfortable. I'm in love with the mirror on the back wall. The bar is in proximity to a lot of restaurants, both casual and upscale, which makes it super easy to make it there either before or after dinner.

I went to Bar Betsie this past Sunday evening with some friends. Thankfully, we were seated immediately. We had fantastic drinks and the service was excellent! The manager even gave us complimentary shots. I really liked the ambience/lighting. Overall, a very cool, intimate bar!

After living in Union Market since 2018 I decided to give the “new” spots a chance. I should’ve trusted my gut and went to Chili’s.
First, you are greeted by one of the rudest people I’ve ever met in my life, who acted like she’s doing you a favor by walking to your seat. The only words that left her mouth, “you have a 2 hour table limit”
The waitress was a 180. She was kind, upbeat and checked in more than regularly.
Now this is where I got confused…..why am I getting cheeseballs? You’re over charging me for drinks and the complimentary snack is a basket of cheeseballs? 😂
I felt like I was at the county fair with my toddler sized cocktail, waiting for Captain Spaulding to run out from those creepy red curtains and terrorize everyone.
Definitely not returning here from the attitude alone. If I wouldn’t rudeness with my drink I’d drive back home to my parents house.

Chic. Intimate. Lively. ✨🍸🌃🖤🥂💄 My bestie and I had the Pornstar Martini and a Mezcal Negroni—both were amazing. The bartenders were on point and the hostess was so lovely.

We knew we’d have to wait as there are no reservations. We waited outside with about 20 other people. If waiting outside is normal then music and chairs would be a great touch. None of that is provided. We saw 5+ cockroaches climbing up the wall and on the ground. Once again, if you know customers will have to wait and be outside maybe fix that issue. Drinks were tiny. My Aperol spritz was WARM AND SERVED in a tiny skinny glass. Spritz’s should never be served like that so it was very bad. We left because the vibe was not what we were expecting. We were very excited for this place so we were happy to wait. After an hour we decided to leave. If the outside was comfortable, had music and no roaches we would’ve been happy to stay. Drinks were bad for a cocktail bar. The staff started out very sweet. After 45min their attitude changed…not just one but 2 of the staff whole demeanor switched. Will not be back but I wish them success and hopefully upgrade the vibe xoxo

I was super happy to be able to sneak here on a Friday night, our prior attempt when they first opened was unsuccessful so it felt very satisfying! I love Jane Jane so was excited to check out Bar Betsie. Like Jane Jane, they have a well curated, creative cocktail list on par with JJ. It's dimly lit but rich and vibrant at the same time, the pink neon structure at entrance to the back is a nice touch. Great addition to the Union Market district, definitely raises the cocktail game there.

Amazing drinks. Amazing atmosphere. So happy for this team (Jane Jane) for expanding across the city! 12/10 for sure.
Drinks pictured are the Devil in a Red Dress( rocks glass) and Midnight Bloom (coupe). I didn’t get to partake in the cheese puffs but I’m very sure it was an honest mistake. So next time! While I don’t normally like tequila based drinks, the Devil in a Red Dress was a hit! Highly recommend!

The drinks were really good and our waitress was so kind and had really good recommendations. am deducting the stars from the rating because the bar smelled pretty weird when we walked in and the hostess was rude and truly seemed like she did not want to be there when she greeted us.

The real highlight is the exceptional service, and the staff are genuinely warm and passionate. It’s the perfect spot for any occasion, including a date night, drinks with friends, and more. I'd put Bar Bestie on your list of places to check out!
