Drink is ok. Service is good, but the food option is limited. So as I came for food, this place basically ruins my night. Might be a okay bar but should not have the label of Jose Andreas. Wish you out of business soon.

Came here for the second time and the experience was equally as excellent! The drinks are unique and a great way to try something new. Our server kept us on track so we were able to enjoy the flight without rushing any of them. The snacks, especially the grilled cheese, are great even though they are a little pricey. The phenomenal service continued as we were leaving, we were given hand warmers to brave the extra cold weather DC is having. There is so much care put into the drinks and service from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Barmini by José Andrés is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels intimate, stylish, and thoughtfully curated—perfect for a memorable night out. The cocktails are nothing short of art. Each drink is inventive, beautifully presented, and balanced with incredible precision. You can truly feel the creativity and intention behind every pour. The bartenders are knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate, taking the time to explain the story and technique behind each cocktail without ever feeling pretentious. The small plates complement the drinks perfectly—refined, flavorful, and just the right size. Barmini isn't just a bar; it's an experience. If you appreciate craft cocktails, culinary creativity, and exceptional service, this spot is a must-visit. José Andrés does it again—elevating the cocktail scene to something unforgettable.

Really excellent experience. Got the flight of cocktails, and really enjoyed each and every drink. Also, great service.

Went to Barmini last weekend with my wife and adult daughter... there literally was no food other than a small bowel of potato chips for $5 each... we did the cocktail tasting menu for $115 per person; it included 6 special creations from Chef Jose, and I was surprised that really only one was drinkable. They all got an A+ for presentation, but an F for taste. They were all way too sweet, and most were really impossible to drink. The staff was nice, but the restaurant itself was very small and very cramped. All the windows are papered over so it makes the small bar seem even smaller. After the tip, it was a $400 bill for the three of us for one drink each that we could drink and some potato chips. Don't waste your time on this place. It's all hype and it fails to deliver.

Ali was gracious, thoughtful and made the experience something to remember as our bartender. Everything from drinks to the bites we got were perfect and all the staff we interacted with was professional and welcoming. Best cocktail bar in DC in our opinion.

Book time for the cocktail flight! If you can't, drop in for a unique cocktail and a snack and ask the servers about their chemistry machines

Inventive cocktails, beautiful ambiance, skilled bartenders and sweet service but for me, too bold on the tasting menu options. I love a good cocktail because it can feel like a food, intricate flavors, unique “plating” and creative recipes but the tasting menu was too much for me. They all had really different flavors and didn’t hit the mark for me. I loved the last one that was a play on sweet potato casserole but besides that they felt like a gamble on the average cocktail drinker that unfortunately in my case weren’t as yummy as I had hoped. But I love what bar mini is doing, and there are really creative and skilled people curating the menu and building the gorgeous cocktails. I salute the concept and expertise but next time would go with an ala carte approach. Also a negative for me was that the food was pricey and not as substantial I was hoping for with the strength of the booze. Would try again!

Never disappointed. Took my (adult) son out as a belated bday celebration. The drinks were amazing and the nibbles were fantastic. We had the truffle grilled cheese and a waffle flight. We never felt rushed and the bartender helped us pick amazing drinks. Barmini is such a special place. And the prices are, amazingly, comparable to places with good drinks and okay service. And here you get amazing drinks and perfect service.

This team is incredible - creating drink experiences so unique and delicious. This has quickly become my absolute favorite bar in the DC area. Always worth coming, whether it’s for a date night or a celebration, it’s 10/10 every single time!!! The rotating flight experience is something you don’t want to miss, and their regular menu also hosts amazing options. Small bites are an excellent pairing.
