Ordered takeout. Cauliflower taco, mushroom taco and Brussel sprouts taco. Mushroom was just ok, the other 2 I would get doubles of next time. Kale Caesar I would recommend getting dressed to allow it to soften and edible. Great service, even just for pickup. Always lively, and now I know why. Looking forward to trying their shrimp and tuna options next time.

This place is like a Mexican tapas restaurant. They serve small tacos made with corn Tortilla. We tried most of them. They were all very tasty and well done. Many of them have some sort of topping that was very flavorable. The street corn was ok. It would have been much better if the corn was toasted some, seemed like steamed corn. The soup was really good. Both deserts were really good. The key lime had a great bite to it. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The place was clean and the atmosphere was really nice.

It was phenomenal! The atmosphere was very friendly and beachy vibes. I got the duck birria with broth and it was so amazing I had to order another! The Passion fruit margarita was so well made you could taste every hidden note added. Me being a chef myself I was very impressed! Will be coming back again

On this evening, I decided to stop by Bartaco for early dinner. I work across the street and was referred to the establishment by my coworkers, as my job and Bartaco have collaborated in the past. I usually get duck birria, but today I decided to cash in my taco tokens, so I got some tacos as well.
When my order was being placed, I overheard the manager ask the young man who took my order, name for my order. The young man who took my order, pointed at the screen, I assumed he read my name tag, but when the two behind the register laughed, I began to get suspicious, but because I’ve always gotten great service at mt. Vernon’s location, I didn’t think much of it.
When I came back to get my food, I saw it sitting on the counter in a bag. I looked at the receipt on the bag and say it read “lady” which I found very objectifying. I mentioned it to the person standing behind the register (who was totally different than that pair that placed my order with)in which she stated she was the manager. I raised my concern to her and she immediately stated “oh that was an accident” in which I replied “you have to type this in, it’s not auto populated. Besides, I already heard him laughing at the name he wrote down” the manager was unmoved. She didn’t even apologize. I had made up in mind in that moment that I would not be back. I proceeded to ask for eating utensils, in which the manager went to go find. As I was awaiting the manager to return, the person who took my order came speeding from behind me, grabbing my bag, and putting his bare hand into it. At that point, I grabbed my bag from him and told him to back up. I then asked him why did he put “lady” as my name and he began to laugh. He followed up with “See, I don’t really speak English-“ I interjected by saying “You don’t speak English well but you’re taking orders in a place where English is predominantly spoken? I don’t belive that” he continued to make silly faces. I furthered by saying “you could have asked my name because that was very rude and other people may not be as nice as me about it” he reaponded “ok” the manager emerges with a spoon, the small cashier girl offered me a free beverage, I grabbed my food, free beverage and left. I have not ever been disrespected in such a way, especially not after I’ve tipped someone for their service. What was worse is the acting manager immediately making excuses for the disrespect, and being so nonchalant about it. It almost seemed like this was not his first time objectifying someone in this way while at work
On top of never returning, I shared this experience with my manager and he stated he would no longer be doing business with establishments that disrespect his staff.

Great place, the place is chill, the service was on point and the tacos are advertised as small(bite specific) so no surprises. The full range was spoken about pre order, the specials and the general setup. I ordered a decent range to have and wasnt dissappionted. Its fresh, hot, flavourful and moreish.

BarTaco is one of my favorite places. I’ve tried locations in Atlanta, Boston, and D.C. and this location did not disappoint. I ordered a take-out order within an hour of closing and when I arrived, I was hungry, so I asked to sit and eat. Talk about a taste of heaven. The tacos were fresh and delicious. So were the salad, chips and the salsas.
My order included the chips and trio, a kale caesar, fish tacos, chicken verde tacos, and a duck taco. All great! This was my first time ordering the salad and I’ll be getting it again!
Also, the staff were so kind, so I’ll definitely be back!
