It's a LIE!! It says Basic but these burgers are anything but basic. They're Delicious! I liked the ability to fine-tune what I was ordering and while the fries were a little salty with the house coating, they were pretty good.

Purchased an all beef hot dog and it was way to greasy. I can see the grease dripping from the container, disgusting. I couldn't enjoy it.

Bacon double burger: 9/10 The first bite of this burger was full of flavor. I recommend the secret sauce with it. After a car ride home the burger wasn’t much to look at but was great!
About the size of my fist a bit bigger it was a large burger and definitely worth the money for the combo $19 to get the fries and drink included.
4/5 seasoned fries: good but not the star of the show it was crispy and seasoned well.
During lunch I wouldn’t go to this location unless you work in the plaza. Parking was hard to find and $15 for 1 hour if you use the plaza parking.

I work at L' Enfant Plaza and decided to try it because of its proximity. I think the name says it all. It was BASIC!!! The burger was nothing special. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and if it wasn't for the bacon it would not have had any taste at all. The large fries come with a balled up piece of paper in the bottom of the bag, I don't know if that is supposed to make the serving look bigger or what is is for, but the fries came with sea salt but were still very bland. Any other burger place in DC is a better option considering the price paid. Would definitely not go back!!!

I got the fish burger which was really good but it had too much tartar sauce which made it too overwhelming for me. My family said that the burgers were really good so i recommend.

This place is hard to find but it is a great place! The house seasoning is good and has a little spice but not too much! The burgers were flavorful but crumbly and a little too juicy! For a basic place, it's does not have a basic price. Otherwise, it was a great place and would definitely come back here again in a while!

The Basic Burger place recently opened in L'Enfant Plaza so it's great to have another lunch option at work. I decided to try the cheeseburger to test out their ability to accomplish the basics. I am happy to report they did a great jog. The bun was soft and didn't fall apart while still melting in my mouth. The meat was tender and juicy. The veggies were crisp and actually tasted fresh. They were not wilted or gooey like most restaurant comparable to Basic Burger. And I loved the sauce on the burger. So great job!
My review is based only on the food but I will say that the burger was a bit pricey for being so simple, about $10. However, the one thing that really annoyed me was the use of those fancy take away bags! I only ordered one little burger and it was given to me in a big fancy bag. Talk about waste! I folded it up and hope to use it for something later because there was no way I could throw it away. I think Basic Burger should reevaluate their bag use because it is absolutely terrible for the environment.

Food was very good especially given that the restaurant is in a food court. The burgers are made to order so you know they are right off the grill. The fries are also amazing and crispy! One of the best burgers I have had in a long time!

Very hard to find this place. Signs indicated in one food court but actually need to enter the hotel across street and go down some stars in the lobby (we asked concierge, very helpful) and then go all way to end of mall area, turn left and it's there. Once you find it, food is delicious! They use canola oil so great for my soy allergy. My fried was vegan, gluten free and they had a vegan burgers and GF bun. The normal fries are house seasoned which is very yummy. The sweet potato fries were very good too.

Good place but it's a shame like a restaurant that does so well Not tipping employees is an unfair and exploitative practice. Tips are crucial for your income, and retaining them discourages the staff and negatively affects the quality of the service. A restaurant that does this shows a lack of respect for its workers and customers.

Best burger I've had in a while, very juicy and flavorful. I'm so glad there's now a good burger place near my office. I ordered the double, but the single would have been enough. They should have named it "Best Burger." It's beats all the similar places like BurgerFi and Five Guys.
