The chicken satay, crispy tilapia and the chicken Ka pao was absolutely spot on. But the spicy seafood fried rice could have been better.

As the mango sticky rice was out of stock :( we ordered the coconut ice cream and did not at all like the experiment with ice cream on top of a hot dog bun! Would not recommend this dessert.

All in all it was a good experience! And I will definitely be back for the crispy tilapia!

So, my neighborhood spot let me down this evening. I had the chicken pad see ew and noticed a really small amount of broccoli. I asked for more and the kitchen said it would be an up charge. Picture taken and everything. I was broccoli blocked, as I am not gonna pay a second time for the broccoli I am already paying for. I sigh as I have been here from the beginning……
Please do better.

I always stop in to get the chicken pad Thai whenever I am visiting my family in the neighborhood. It is consistently delicious! Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

We live in the neighborhood and like to support local restaurants. But I've had two bad meals here.

Once, my curry included potatoes that were undercooked.

Tonight, I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce. For a house specialty, both the presentation (shrimp and asparagus on a plate of soggy lettuce with an odd side of rice) plus the overall size of the entree left a lot to be desired.

Despite living around the corner, we may not return here again.

Wow. This post is not about their food. I placed an order via UberEats and the restaurant sent me the wrong order. I called to let them know that it had happened and the person who answered the phone was beyond rude. He told me basically that it wasn't his problem. I asked him if they were the ones who gave the Uber driver the wrong order, he said yes. Then, in a very aggressive tone, he continued to tell me that it is my own problem to fix. I am highly disappointed with this sort of service. Maybe, the man was having a hard day - I get it. Nonetheless, it was rude.

A stellar neighborhood joint. Amazing service (the only place in the neighborhood where we can bring kids + babies without a hesitation). Staff is always very kind and hospitable.

Good, not great. Seating is squished together and it gets noisy, but food is reiably decent. I wish the drunken noodles were gluten free!

I’ve been a long-time fan of the Beau Thai location in Shaw, and their Mount Pleasant outpost is just as delightful. I visited this location for a Thursday night dinner with a few friends, and we had a wonderful time. There were quite a few other parties there, but the space is quite large so it didn’t feel overly crowded or loud. The service is remarkably efficient, so you can usually start eating within 15 minutes of ordering. We enjoyed a delicious spread including the yellow curry, pad see ew, and drunken noodles, all with either tofu or shrimp. The food was all phenomenal, with just the right mix of salty, sweet, acidic, and spicy. The yellow curry was a bit on the sweeter side, making it a great choice for those who prefer a bit less spice. The proteins were cooked beautifully; the shrimp was juicy and sweet, with a slight snap, and the tofu was perfectly fried and acted as a great flavor sponge, especially in the curry. My favorite will forever be their drunken noodles, but it was all outstanding.

A good, reliable, local spot for Thai food.

I enjoyed all the dishes I ordered and thought they were good value, with some areas for improvement. The shrimp cakes were freshly fried but a bit bland, the Penang curry was extremely flavorful but I would have liked some more vegetables, and the drunken noodles had nice fresh wide rice noodles and a good spice level, but the beef was overcooked and tough.

Service was great and attentive. It seems like their reservation system is broken - they showed as having no tables available until 9pm, but I arrived earlier and the restaurant was nearly empty. Don’t be dissuaded if the online system says there’s no tables.

Cashew chicken and panang chicken. Both delicious. Tasted better the next day. I would return. Sitting outside was nice but the service was a little slower on a hot day.

A Mount Pleasant main street classic! Delicious pad Thai, good service, lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. They also do watercolor date nights at the bar which sounds very cute! The one thing that we were less impressed by on our recent visit were the cocktails, which were supposed to be all these interesting flavors but tasted really bland (except for the mocktail we ordered, which was actually delicious!).

I’ve been a huge fan of Beau Thai for years, but this will be the last time we order from them after our experience today. We ordered (2) Udom curry with chicken and spring rolls. The chicken dishes showed up dried out without any sauce. The spring rolls were soggy. We called the restaurant and they were not willing to do anything to make it right.
