Please if you’re looking for real suya, this is not the place! Disgusting.

Great Late-Night Find with Excellent Service!
I ordered from Beyond Suya at their kiosk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff was so nice, patient, and super communicative throughout the entire process. Even though it wasn’t a dine-in experience, they made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel like a valued customer.

The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out, aside from the amazing service, is that they’re open late! If you’re looking for something tasty and satisfying to eat late at night, Beyond Suya is a perfect go-to. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend!

Trash customer service, the dude who worked at 11:20pm on 20 February 2025.
Garbage human being, not coming back.

Suya “platter” for $30 lol. The jollof rice was an extra $10. Not worth it. I did order on Uber eats so I’m not sure if prices are different in person. But regardless, small servings. 3 stars because it was tasty tho

Foodie With The Tea

A cooler of party jollof rice costs $100 and they are selling a 1 cup/8 ounce portion for $10. You do the math.

So disappointed. Decided to give them a try last night on Uber Eats. We ordered the 1) fries, 2) jollof rice, 3) chicken suya “platter” and 4) beef suya “platter.” The order was for two people but the portion they gave us was only enough for a child to eat. We found it offensive. I just saw their micro portions as a complaint in another review so apparently it’s their way. The fries were enjoyable. The jollof rice was not jollof rice. The flavor profile was way off. If anything it tasted more like boxed Mexican rice from the grocery store. Further, it did not taste fresh. I lie to you not, the chicken suya “platter” was like 5-6 small pieces of chicken breast for $14.25. The beef suya was tender but again the portion was so small and it tasted like beef teriyaki. Not authentic suya. Overall 0/10 experience and I would not recommend this place at all. The food leaves a lot to be desired. An absolute waste of $70.

My name is Rita Appiah ,
We had an incredible dining experience at Tempoo African restaurant and Lounge in Maryland! My husband and I travelled from North Carolina to Maryland for a visit . We wanted to try African restaurants near us . From the moment we stepped in Tempoo African restaurant we were warmly greeted and treated to exceptional service throughout our meal.
I got myself a cocktail and some jollof rice and my husband got himself some waakye and got ourselves some Suya as well .
The Jollof rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection same as the waakye

The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. The portions were generous, and every dish was presented beautifully.

Overall, Tempoo African restaurant and Lounge exceeded our expectations in every way. It's clear that they take pride in their food and service, and it certainly shows. We left feeling satisfied and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a taste of Africa in Maryland, Tempoo African restaurant is the place to go. We can't wait to return! I HAD A CHANCE TO TALK TO THE CEO . A VERY FRIENDLY PERSON .
