One of my favorite DC cafes! The breakfast sandwich and burrito are delicious, the coffee is great (+ they free refills), and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I’ve come here after morning workouts with big groups and they are so accommodating. They have great indoor and outdoor space and it’s the perfect place to hang out or get some work done. Highly recommend!

Such a vibe, good food (don’t sleep on that breakfast burrito or cinnamon pastry), delicious coffee, and everyone who works there is so kind. Really grateful to have discovered such a gem in DC

35 min for a cortado at 9:30 on a Saturday is rough.

Good place for pub trivia! I liked the pizza but limited beer options.

Nice cafe, lovely setting, nice people.

Friendly servers and smiley faces when you come in, lovely setting (vines on the outside of the building which made in look like an Italian place, and nice wooden tables inside and out), and nice atmosphere with a good soundtrack!

Coffee and drinks were surprisingly cheap compared to the other places in Washington DC.

Food was overpriced for what it was, which was the only small downside. Having said that, everywhere in DC seems v pricey!

There’s no WiFi after 3pm on weekdays. There’s a small sign above the milk and cream area but would be better served if they had the sign near the register. I walked in intending to finish off my workday here, ordered, only to find out they turned the WiFi off.

Perhaps I am not fancy enough to appreciate twee little cafés in the cultural heart of DC. I suspect that I just resent paying $18 for a really bad grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Considering that I will eat almost anything and that it's really hard to mess up grilled cheese, I figured I was on secure ground when I discovered that they had run out of artisnal wood-fired bagels. Turns out that, if you use extraordinarily dry, crumbly bread, toast it only minimally, use a dubious cheese, and put in weird apples without warning anyone, yes, you can muck up grilled cheese. If you add fries that have been salted enough to preserve them through the winter, you can muck it up horribly. I think that most of my resentment stems from having paid such an exorbitant amount of money for something that the local gas station could have done better for ten bucks less. A lot of the food was not clearly priced, so I was going for the cheapest option on the menu. There was no cost listing posted for any of the bakery items. That would have been nice. In the end, I did not really want any bakery items because the case was left open, and the danishes were visibly covered with flies. It was rather unappetizing. Staff was nice though. And the fairy lights on the terrace were pretty.

oh my God, the food here is awful. Staff likes to close up 20 minutes before closing time The only reason why this place is popular is because there isn't many like it in the Eckington. Having a nice outdoor space, Even with it full of bugs is the only reason why I gave this place three stars instead of two. I'm really trying hard to support local businesses
