The food here is fabulous, very good options for Vegetarians/Vegans as well. Ample portion size and the Chef Ajay Ramola was very welcoming and helpful. Amazing prices as well for DC standards ❤️🔥

The meal I got was pretty tasty, and the atmosphere seemed pleasant while I waited for my takeout- however, when I specifically ordered the paneer roll without chicken, making sure it was the vegetarian option at the register, I found out later when I left with my takeout that what they handed to me was a chicken roll. I needed a vegetarian dish for that day due to a religious holiday though I was still able to eat it later, however it could have been a more serious issue if I was allergic or it was absolutely not part of my diet. So, if you have serious dietary restrictions, I would be careful. For me, it was just annoying.

Vada Pav, Kathi Roll, chicken bowl, and salmon bowl were all very good. We really enjoyed the quick service. Highly recommend for any students looking for cheap Indian food that still has high quality and standards.

My girlfriend and I used to love Bindaas. We would go on dates all the time and were regulars. We went to the updated restaurant, and it’s like they took everything great about the restaurant and chucked it into the Potomac. They counted the pieces of chicken put in the bowl, gave 1/2 the rice they used to, and it’s now a buffet line rather than legit sit down restaurant with service. But don’t worry, you can spend the same amount to receive one of their rations. Waste of a Valentine’s Day dinner—needless to say we weren’t impressed. Would much rather go somewhere where my meal is cooked for me rather than in a big vat for a buffet. By the way, no one was there for Valentine’s Day dinner—maybe 3 parties total.

The quality of food at Bindaas used to be quite good. It has drastically gone down. Here was our order and this is the rating on each of the items we ordered
Mango pani puri - my relatives tried this and they were convinced never to try this dish again. They unnecessarily seem to have messed up a pani puri. Nothing inside the puri either.
Bhel Puri - was the worst bhel we have had. It was almost only the puffed rice. I wonder why the messed this up so badly. Don't they have people who know how this dish should be made?
Dal Makhani - This was one good dish. Well done.
Vada Pao - This was also done well actually. Only compliments not complaints on this one. Keep it up.
Paneer tikka lababdar - huge chunks of paneer i thought they would mince the panner also the service size was too small. Taste wise it was alright, but nothing special.
Mutter Paneer - was abysmal. I have had so much better mutter panneer that cost cheaper as well in virginia suburbs. Their gravy did not hit the mark.
Garlic Cilantro and butter naan were reasonably good. The spinach panneer naan looked like a disaster, i didn't have it but i could tell that the people eating it did not relish it. Come on Bindaas cooks and management, up your game again. You used to do so much better !!

We started with Cauliflower Pakora, great flavor, perfectly cooked, crispy and hot. The Saag Murgh had great depth of flavors while the Salmon Moilee was different and tasty. The Spinach Naan was a first and a total success. James provided great service. Decor was creative and interesting.

Glad I didn’t pay any attention to the overall ratings because this place is warm and inviting with absolutely fabulous food. Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!

They deserve -5. They warm up frozen roti, naan etc in a pizza oven and serve you. No Indian restaurant does that. If they do that they just mention in menu or while
Taking order. May daughter had a stomach upset. She had only roti no subji. So no other reason other than reheated roti or old made roti heated in microwave or pizza oven

Bindaas has long been a go-to spot for IMF folks, and for good reason. The service is consistently awesome—quick, efficient, and attentive, making it perfect for busy schedules. The menu is thoughtfully curated with options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, catering to a wide range of preferences.

One standout dish that many still fondly remember is the keema pao. It was, without a doubt, the best item on the menu, though it’s no longer available. Even so, Bindaas continues to impress with its flavorful offerings and vibrant atmosphere. It's a reliable choice for anyone looking for a satisfying meal with impeccable service.

We came here for bottomless brunch and it was not a great experience. The mimosas were good but the food was sub par (the French toast was literally so tiny). And then I asked for scrambled eggs which were extremely watery and they didn’t even disclose the price till after the bill came. Do NOT recommend, just eat at home. The lack of attention in customer service is also quite apparent. There are also flies roaming around the restaurant, especially near the mimosa glasses while you’re drinking so if you’re into that, come

I don’t mind paying tip but this restaurant I s a scam. Had the worst experience ever! Their staff is rude and have 20% service charges (written in almost invisible font size in the bottom of the menu). Nobody is likely to see it. I ended up paying it because they didn’t have the ethics to share the relevant information by spelling it out or increasing the font size. The food was mid and not worth it at all!

We stopped by for Dinner. We were seated pretty quickly without waiting. We ordered Mango Pani Puri, Mysore Masala Dosa & Vada Pav.
Mango Pani Puri was interesting, I wouldn’t necessarily try again. Dosa was decent, the accompaniments were just okay. Vada Pav was good & filling.

Excellent service! Manager Lucas was extra helpful and attentive. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to all my family and friends for some authentic Indian food in downtown DC. Will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for the excellent hospitality and great food .
