Went for the all day happy hour on Sunday which included great drink and food deals. Oysters were fresh, pizza was crispy, and corn dog bites were salty and yummy. Also met some other fun customers and the bartenders were great!

Amazing bar, amazing drinks, amazing animals. The fish named Brooke is beautiful, and the newly named bull(ask about his name) Biggest shout out of all time to the bartender Altermo. He was slinging drinks like nobodies business and made sure we had an amazing night! He is the absolute GOAT ❤️

Worst bar experience I’ve ever had — though the DJ was a sweetheart. One of my friends got on top of a piece of furniture, and instead of handling the situation calmly, a bartender aggressively threw a lemon at them. It could have been addressed in a respectful, human way instead of reacting like that. When we brought it up to management, they sided with the bartender’s behavior, which was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend coming here — the staff’s actions made us feel unsafe.

I’ve never written a review like this, but what happened at Black Jack in DC was unacceptable and dangerous. I was physically attacked by a bartender who threw something in my face—completely unprovoked and without warning. This wasn’t a heated disagreement or a misunderstanding—it was an act of aggression.
I left shaken, and the staff did absolutely nothing to de-escalate or take responsibility. No one should feel unsafe or threatened in a place that serves the public. I’m sharing this so others are warned: if you value your safety, skip Black Jack. There are plenty of bars in DC that respect their customers—this is not one of them. Specially when they called the event a World pride event.
