Great service, friendly staff, and an absolutely fantastic cheeseburger!

We went on a Friday night. We asked for two cocktails off the menu and they were out of two basic liquors to make either. I ordered a glass of wine and they were out of that. We ordered a steak for the kids and they burned it. With all the steakhouses in dc, avoid this one.

Amazing spot I will definitely recommend to my colleagues when they come to DC. Host and staff were great and the Surf and Turf was on point!

A disappointing experience. The biggest problem was the noise level: it was so loud that the three of us had difficulty in hearing one another, seated together in a booth. VERY unpleasant. The food was just OK: I had to send back my steak twice to get it "medium." The third time was, finally, a charm. The dressing on the salad was slightly bitter, the dressing on the salmon not very tasty. The potatoes and asparagus arrived lukewarm and quickly got cold. The menu is way too limited. Just 6 non-steak entrees other than the 6 steak items. And when I called and asked about valet parking, they said that do have valet parking. But upon arrival, they told us, "No we don't have valet parking. But walk across the street and they will park your car." That valet service cost us $25 and our car was sitting just feet from the restaurant, where we left it.

I was not happy with this food. Spent over $200 for slow service, bland, poorly cooked “filet mignon” and worst of all I was not asked about a refill of anything. Just not happy. Will not be eating here again.

Great service! I'd skip the Caesar salad (watery, small portion, not enough dressing). Steaks were cooked perfectly and sides were really good too!

Excellent staff. From the door onward throughout our experience, the manager and staff were exceptional and our steaks and sides were all superb. Do not miss a chance to go to Bobby Van's.

The staff was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a varied menu. The food was delicious.

purchased a $200.00 gift certificate in 2020 during covid to sponsor an ad for them in the DC Police Yearbook to benefit a death benefit fund for officers killed or injured in the line of duty. I live in Florida and said i don't get to DC very often they said the gift certificate never expires!! Called today to use my Gift Certificate and the General Manager replies we will not honor that!! Pure Garbage> On a better note the DC Police offered me my money back which i said no. I also purchased a $200.00 Gift Certificate to Mortons called them and they said the certificate never expires i told them about Booby Van and he said bring it with you we will honor it for them!!!! Bobby Vans learn honor total disgrace what you are saying!!!

Phenomenal service, excellent food with many options. Food allergy friendly. Good wine selection. Excellent location for business meals!

Bobby Van's is not shy about what it does, probably because it does it so well. And that is steak. Service was outstanding, the floor manager asked what the occasion was and I mentioned my honeymoon, within 2 minutes he had brought over champagne to congratulate. This made my wife's and I night! In a city like this to be made to feel special is a rare thing and they did it! We shared the calamari (crispy) and it was great. We also shared the filet duo and prosciutto mac and cheese. All were great. Steak cooked perfectly and the duo provided a nice balance between 2 phenomenal choices. Having 2 flavor profiles to go between was really nice. The Mac and cheese was on point. Crunchy panko and a delicious cheese made this a great addition to the steaks. With all the heavy flavors you would think this meal would be too rich, but the truth is we just couldn't put our forks down! Thank you Bobby Van's for giving us a wonderful meal to share on our honeymoon culinary journey.

Food was average. Nothing special to match the high price. Waiter was nit attentive to us.
We could see he was busy talking with someone in the bar area. When he did come to the tabke he was sooo quick he repeatedly missed attending to everyone in our party. Things were missed and mistakes were made. Meanwhile we had to flag down the bartender for our iced tea and water, and again to get our missed salads. We were a large group in for an early (4pm) reservation for dinner. Restaurant was not busy and this was not too difficult of a party.

Took my wife for her birthday yesterday and we already talking bout going back … 16oz ny strip was top tier .. bang bang shrimp unmatched 10/10
