My wife and I came to visit, we were charged 46$ for 2 house margaritas, of which the Bartender added auto gratuity to. We left immediately feeling scammed. Called next day, the manager I spoke to he dismissed it entirely despite admitting auto-gratuity is not their policy. In short: Avoid this place - bad environment, bad employees, overpriced (or scam?)
It was okay, nothing extra special. Expecting a little bit more. A little pricy for the quality of food
Great dinner. Did several hot appetizers and all were wonderful. Service was also very good. Thanks.
We had a great experience at this spot. We were out for a girls lunch and got exactly what we needed. There are plenty of vegetarian options and great cocktails.
Tapas were delicious service was excellent happy cozy restaurant celebrating friends birthday brought us a scrumptious piece of cake sang happy birthday
Food was....eh...it's edible. Mussels was skinny and stinky. Octopus was ok, but tiny portion. Garlic Shrimps was over cooked. Looks like Costco shrimp cocktail in garlic oil. Overall...it's ok
I was greeted with a warm welcome when walking in to the Bodega. I was kindly offered the window seat for me and the others i brought with me. The host and the server we had were amazing. We felt very welcomed. We walked in and the ambiance felt like a classical speakeasy. The food was also delicious. Unfortunately i only got to try a few appetizers on the menu; the lamb & the short rib stuffed peppers. They were wonderful, both meats were tender and had a great flavor. The others who attended with me also had a similar experience with their meal. When I go back, I plan to try more on their menu & the family style plates they offer. I would also like to mention that their drinks were pretty good, and the price for everything is well worth for what you get.
This restaurant was a great find. Great atmosphere. Great tapas. Great wine. Great waiter. And don't pass on the bacon-wrapped dates--surprisingly good!

With this tapas restaurant in the middle of bustling Georgetown and excellent prior experiences with tapas restaurants, we were expecting Bodega to be an easy hit. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing that it sat in our stomachs like a stone and left us gloomy for the rest of the day. The potatoes were undercooked, the grilled sausage smelled of gasoline, the octopus and salmon dishes were both cold and prepared with rancid olive oil and were inedible. Thank god the mussel soup dish had a tasty sauce so we could dip bread in it and have at least some satisfaction.

Disastrous site. It's not expensive, but if you want to eat well, I wouldn't go. Bread that is not fresh and reheated, poorly made tortilla (raw onion and some potatoes too), the creamy rice tapa is not worth it. The squid is bad... Good service, yes, but 0 recommendable

On February 16th, around 5:55 PM, after a long shift, I decided to stop by this place for a drink. I’m not usually the type to do this after work, but the area was especially busy that day, and I figured I’d give it a try. I even spent about 10 minutes researching before walking in.
Once I sat down, I ordered my drink, and the bartender asked for my ID. As soon as I handed it over, he immediately told me I needed to sit away from the bar—not because of my age, but because my ID wasn’t horizontal. As a 21-year-old who’s been to plenty of bars in DC for social events, this was new to me. I asked why, and he kept repeating that my age wasn’t the issue, just the format of my ID. I was confused and kept pointing out my birthday, but he wouldn’t budge.
The couple next to me also started questioning the rule, just as confused as I was. Instead of addressing me, the bartender and a woman next to him started chatting with the couple, completely ignoring me. The couple even questioned the service out loud. At that point, I just grabbed my things and left. After a long day, I didn’t have the energy to go back and fourth.
Super disappointing experience. PSA to retail workers in the area: just don’t. First and last time for me.

We went there last week to have a few cocktails, and ordered shrimp, octopus and calamari. The food was fresh, taste good and delicious. Nice snack menu for seafood lovers. The bartender lady also was very kind to us.

Servers and bartenders are somewhat pushy to over ordering tapas. Soup did not include bread nor crackers. It's very different from last time here (10 months ago) and over priced.
