Booeymonger nails what you need it to — made-to-order sandwiches, crispy bacon, and generous portions that keep me coming back. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, with plenty of seating and good old-fashioned fountain soda.
The food and staff are lovely! I come back time and again. I appreciate the convenience, consistency, and array of menu choices (though I usually stick with the Steak Special). The atmosphere is quirky at best, but the little upstairs nook (privacy) and patio annex (view) are lovely places to sit! Not sure what the excitement is about. Pricey subs for what you get. The daily special sub cost $15 and I just had a few slices of turkey on it. 5 cents for the takeout bag…petty. with tax and tip 18.80 for a small sub (enough for a quick lunch).
