This may be my favorite restaurant ever. the food is fantastic. The people are friendly. It is probably the best top best place I've ever been to.
Overall food quality and taste were great. Where they failed was the service. Food delivery was slow and the waiter didn't spend enough time servicing our table. In a tapas style restaurant, more touches are important. We may have spent more money on drinks and food if we had a more engaging server. Lastly, after being frustrated, we asked for our check and this took over 8 minutes and required me asking for a manager. I would recommend limiting the number of tables a waiter has and of coach multi-tasking and being aware of what is happening at the tables.
The food and the service was outstanding. we did the chef choice and the choices from the chef were on point and delicious. Jamon iberico, pan con tomate, machengo cheese, croquetas, meatballs, octopus, seafood paella and churros were absolutly delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other tapas.
This spot is a local favorite for me—cute, a bit pricey, but tasty tapas and solid happy hours. So why 3 stars, and why 2 for service? I usually sit at the bar, but this time I was meeting older friends and we wanted a table. Despite plenty of open seats—including bar tables—the hostess told me there'd be a 45-minute wait because everything was reserved. I took a bar seat while waiting and checked OpenTable, where I found a reservation available in 15 minutes. When I showed the hostess, she scoffed, insisting that only she knew when tables would open. Meanwhile, several empty tables remained. My friends arrived, we decided to stay, and ordered drinks. Before the bartender even finished pouring, another hostess led us to a table, saying they had gone “out of their way” to accommodate us—right next to empty bar tables, which remained open all night. Frustratingly unnecessary. On top of that, despite having Toast terminals, they refused to take Apple Pay due to “security concerns.” Good thing I happened to have my physical wallet. Overall, a neighborhood spot I like, but the service left me shaking my head. Delicious tuna, patatas bravas, Brussels sprouts, gambas, mushroom croquettes, and paella if you're really hungry. Now, if only the reception side of things matched the quality of the food!
Let's start with the drinks. While the names were inviting, the drinks themselves were uninspired & mediocre in taste. There are some menu items that were really good e.g the white anchovies, most others were just ok. The pintxos de bistec was severely overcooked. Socarrat is non evident in the paella Mariscos.
Thanks for making our annual Mother's Day brunch fantastic as always. We'll do our best to stop by during the year and patronize.
Excellent food as always - best meatballs around! Great atmosphere and service. A regular go to, would highly recommend
Great food, quiet and relaxing. All the servers seemed brand new and a little confused but they were genuine so we didn't care and had a great time.
Ambiance and service were good. For a Monday night, the restaurant was busy but quiet enough for good conversation. Happy hour drinks and bites were delicious. Other tapas and wine very gd. We enjoyed being at Boqueria. Thank you.
So fabulous I am buying the cookbook! Tasty unique and so delicious It was a birthday celebration and they brought a homemade cake to my husband. Will be our new go to when in Dc. Highly recommend The managers were awesome Daniella and our server Nicole helped us pick our food! Yummy

Food was subpar. We spent almost 300 for my husband and I. Flavors were okay and nothing to brag about. There are so many other restaurants in the area that are better!! Service was good but food is not worth it.
We were seated promptly for our reservation. The tapas, beer and paella were good and the service was professional. The restaurant was packed with tourists, regulars and Capitals fans. Between the music and conversations I could not hear my spouse across the high top table! Maybe I'll try off hours to thoroughly enjoy my experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-game dinner. The server was wonderful and very helpful in navigating the best select for our group. We will definitely return. Great food and ambiance
