Boqueria Penn Quarter is a fun, energetic spot with consistently solid food. The tapas are great for sharing — the patatas bravas were crispy with just the right amount of spice, the jamón was excellent, and the grilled seafood was fresh and well seasoned. Paella was flavorful and satisfying without being heavy. Service was attentive without hovering, and the atmosphere makes it an easy choice for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. Reliable Spanish food in a lively setting, and I’d definitely go back.

The food, ambiance, experience, and service are the best I've had in such a long time! There's something really unique and special about Boqueria. My mom, sister, and I were in DC for 2 days, and decided to eat here both days. High quality amazing tasting food. We had amazing service from the servers, especially Jeremy. And the manager, Reka, was so sweet and made us feel very welcomed. The little burgers are the best burgers. And the eggs in the red sauce cast iron pot with toasted bread brunch meal (I forgot the name) is one of the best tasting foods I've ever had in my life.

Easy to grab a table for two at 530 on a Saturday, food came super fast all pretty tasty. Drinks also came quick and were very well balanced. Will become the new staple when in the area

By the time the paella arrived we were all so full- everything was marvelous, but we would have liked to enjoy the paella earlier in the dining experience.

Good food and friendly staff. Veggie tapas were great, so was the skirt steak and the albondigas (meatballs). Croquetas were great too. Octopus was poorly cooked. Bikini not worth it. Paella was good, albeit a little salty.

Very nice establishment. Was seated and ordered right away from lunch menu - salad and sandwich. Waited 35 minutes, before I got my got my server's attention. Server returned a minute later to say food would be ready soon, there was a delay in the kitchen. I found that hard to believe because there were only a handful of occupied tables. Order arrived 5 minutes later. My entree was hot and tasty but I had to rush eating my meal due to time constraints.
This is an amazing tapas place. Portions can sometimes be customized as well if you want an extra piece in your three piece plate.
