I've heard bad things about this place but the view was gorgeous and service was great! our table wasn't ready on time due to issues with the firepit, but it was well worth the wait at the bar for such a nice table and view. drinks are expensive (especially for using plastic glasses) but not significantly more than other dc prices as long as you stick to wine and beer. you're paying for the view and it was worth it, even as a dc local who's seen the skyline...
The views are excellent and there are some fun drinks on the menu. The food was good though a bit pricy. My biggest criticism is that I find the seating to be a bit awkward. The lounge chairs and smaller tables are nice if you are just there for a drink but they should consider possibly putting in high top tables and chairs for people who want to have food.
Prices are very high and don't have to be. Seeing the sunset over the Potamac was great. Automatic 20% gratuity was painful. Great experience but they need to come down on drink and food prices.
