I had two desserts that had raspberries in them. Upon arriving home to enjoy my treats, I realized both had mold on the raspberries and they had no business serving them. Huge letdown.

Lovely little spot in Georgetown for authentic French baked goods. They use mostly French ingredients to get as close to the “real thing” as I’ve had in DC. Staff is friendly, efficient, and there is a nice patio in the back to enjoy your coffee.

I have been searching for the best croissant since my visit to Paris in 1983. I finally found it here at the Boulangerie Christophe which is owned and run by the French. It was soft and light and fluffy and delicious, unlike anything I’ve ever tried for the past 40 years. The rest of their food is just as delicious and the next time I’m here in DC I’m heading straight here for the best French food in America.

Delicious all the pastries.Breads in buns.Delicious sandwich, I recommend smoked salmon.Good coffee and natural soft drinks.Very delicious salads.Prices between $2 and $35 dollars, breads and salads. The staff is very friendly, but there are always a lot of people, so more people are needed and one more cashier. The environment needs music at a better volume, since I can't hear the noise of children and people talking. In general, an excellent sweet or savory bite, in a beautiful neighborhood.

There is one more place you must visit when you come to DC! Really delicious cakes and unique tarts will captivate your eyes and mouth. The pistachio raspberry cake is excellent! Illy Cold Brew Coffee is also clean and well-balanced, with a moderate body. It was a very popular place so the line was quite long and there was no parking nearby so it was a bit difficult. But it's well worth it!

2 stars because what I bought was disgusting. It was soft like mush. It was a nest looking cake item for Easter. The hazelnut flavor was off-putting and I LOVE hazelnut so that's very telling. The service was good though. That's the only positive thing I can say. They told me it was going to be really good and it has buttercream icing. That's not icing. It reminded me of a mousse topping which I don't fancy.

1. Pear/apple tart: 5/5 if you like that. I personally thought 3/5. 2. Mille-Feuille: 5/5. I wish I didn't have to share. 3. (A rum and almond tart): 0/5. The girl gave us a doo-doo old piece so she didn't have to cut into the one that was edible. This went into the trash. Hence 2 stars for being a weasel shitte. Just treat the customers the way you want to be treated; not duped and made to feel scammed. Next time I drive 60 minutes to get a decent pastry I'll stick with maman.

When I visit this place, it brings back memories of Paris. The bakery goods and desserts are as tasty as they look. It is a genuinely European bistro with inviting decor and mouthwatering food items that you can enjoy with a hot coffee in the afternoon or get some Opera to enjoy with your family.
Delicious French pastry. And nice coffee. I appreciated that the cashier spoke French, a lot easier to pronounce all the pastries name.If you want a little touch of France. I recommend this bakery. Their raisin bread is delicious. On the other hand, baguettes and country breads are overpriced... But hey, they are the same price in every bakery in DC. And otherwise we say chocolatine, not pain au chocolat! ?
