The food at bronze is actually awful. It lacks seasoning and balance. I had the torched oysters which were really good! Loved the salmon roe on top!
Now for the entree… the oxtail pasta is 0/100 stars. It’s shocking how disgusting this dish was. The pasta was lumpy, the oxtail under seasoned and the sauce on the pasta was simply oil and oxtail juice. It was shocking how disappointing this dish was, i sent it back
The chicken was a take on Peri peri and it was just paprika smeared on a chicken breast, no flavor at all. I was so disappointed eating here. An amazing concept that falls so flat that I would petition to have this restaurant shut down
The service is good and the cocktails were not bad!

It took a really long time for someone to greet me at the host stand to be sat though. Ended up sitting at the bar and the bartender was lovely. There were out of the signature cocktail I wanted so I pivoted and my drink was great. I ordered the butchers cut for dinner. It was a disappointing plate. The fat caps on the meat had not been properly rendered so parts of the meat were chewy and flabby. The rest of the meat was dry and under seasoned, and not even the sauce provided was enough to mask it. The sauce was even a bit bland itself. The plating of food also irked me. It was heaped onto a tiny plate which was difficult to eat off of. I assume it was meant to be a serving plate for everyone to eat family style off of? It was not explained to me by a server so when it arrived it felt messy to eat off.
The mushrooms were the best part of the dish. I didn’t get the point of the three pieces of dresses lettuce on the side - it felt like an afterthought. I wanted more salad to be part of every bite, or just take it off the plate if it’s not a fully realized part of the dish.
Also for a $38 entree, it should’ve been served with some kind of carb instead of having to order an additional $6 side. This dish was listed under entrees, and if it’s not a fully balanced meal within the entree, it should be recategorized.
The restaurant itself was dark and a bit loud, but I get they’re going for a modern vibe. The lighting available wasn’t warm enough to make the atmosphere feel properly cozy. I think the space also lacked some thoughtful decor - it felt a bit bare bones and underdeveloped in terms of ambience. I think the owner should take a moment to sit in each seat of the restaurant and consider the experience of the diner to help tweak the atmosphere - it was such a “this is almost there but something is off” feeling sitting at the bar.
Ultimately, for the price tag this did not feel worth it. If I’m paying for a luxurious dining experience, I want it to feel that way. The food and atmosphere felt extremely mid tier - and I honestly had difficulty finishing my steak. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Stopped in before our dinner at Hiraya for some drinks. And the drinks were so good we got some oysters on happy hour. The bartender was super great as well.

Absolutely amazing! We had a fantastic meal at Bronze and will definitely be back. We tried the plantains, the brioche, the braised oxtail parpadelle, and the guava donut.
The plantains were literally the best I have ever had, and I would come here again and again just for those.
The brioche was the only disappointment, but perhaps it's because I went into it with the expectation that it would be sweet. Instead, it was very savory.
The braised oxtail parpardelle could not have been better, it was fall-apart tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked.
The donut was really the shining star of the meal. I never thought I would describe a donut as "refreshing", but this donut was light, not the least bit greasy, and paired perfectly with cream and fruit.
We also tried 3 of the cocktails on the menu, all of which were fantastic.
Our server was Mireya, who gave impeccable service. Our water was never empty and we never had to look for her, she always showed up right when we needed her.
I highly recommend Bronze to anyone in the DC area! :)

My experience was a mixed bag. Most of the food items we ordered were actually quite good (yuzu squid, bush-smoked snapper); the cocktails were interesting and well balanced; and we had a nice reasonably-priced bottle of Itallian viognier. There was however a single issue that nearly ruined the whole meal. The main course special of the day—"Peking Duck".
I'm a huge fan of duck, and for something listed as "Peking Duck" that costs $50 I'm expecting at least a nice crispy half duck, but what comes out is a single over-cooked skinless duck breast with no sides and a few madrin oranges on top. To say I was disappointed is an understatment. It just put a damper on what to that point was an enjoyable meal.

Sat out on the patio for an early dinner. Lovely service and inventive food and cocktails--really thoughtful, creative, and delicious menu! We loved everything! Branzino was a particular highlight. Really nice vegetarian options as well.

WOW WOW WOW !!!
What an amazing experience, service and meal Bronze Restaurant delivered.
Thanks Adam, our bartender and server, and a special shout out to the Owner who came over to personally greeted us.
I saw them displaying their culinary skills on LION Lunch Hour FOX 5 here in DC one morning, and I was soooo cultivated I had to make my way to the restaurant to experience it myself.
The food and drinks were fabulous!!!
Grab your friends and family and make your way down to this outstanding restaurant serving flavors that will blow your mind and taste buds away!!

Good service and atmosphere, but food really was underwhelming. We got the signatures(prawns, oxtail pasta and squid), all of them was just mediocre. The yogurt desert was good tho.
