Best sandwich I’ve had in DC and it’s not close! Loved everything about this spot. Cheesesteak, chicken cutlet 10/10. Staff very nice. Vibe immaculate.

The sandwiches are good and large. I could only eat half of mine but they have a service window where you can get your sandwiches wrapped to go.
A 10% service charge is added to your bill but they have a no tipping policy.
The music is loud.

Very disappointed. I live in the neighborhood and remember this spot when it was under a different name. I was sad when it closed, so I was happy to see another place open and glad the games were still there. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. The female bartender was sarcastic and short and looked like she hated being there. It was pretty dead so it didn’t really make sense to me. The food choices were limited and not very good. It’s disheartening because this place has the potential to be amazing, but the staff didn’t seem to be trying at all.

Was a huge fan of the original location and sandwiches. There, it made sense to be a no nonsense, largely carry out shop. Now, they are in a bar and table setting and failing to meet their new circumstances.

- My friend wanted plain vinegar, but they only had vinaigrette. Fine, we asked for it on the side - but was extra $ on the side. Free on the sandwich. Like… put it in a ramekin?
- They charge a 10% “service” fee for dine in. But we had to order on a tablet, get our own napkins, forks, etc and ask for waters. So what am I paying for? Felt scammy.

The sandwiches are still good. But they need to figure out who they are and what they are going for in the new space. Otherwise, there are too many good options nearby to bother. Hopefully they can turn it around!

Expect a ridiculous amount of time for them to prepare the most basic sandwiches (30+ min). Not sure why the place is so slow.

The music was really too loud. We ordered the gyroagie, but the meat was very dry and there wasn't much of it. The service was average to slow. Compared to other traditional sandwich places around DC this ranks poorly.

A truly authentic Philly cheesesteak! Classic provolone with onions and hots (as they say in Philly!) Sesame seed roll was spot on! Nice patio but they could turn down the music outside a bit so you can talk with the other people in your party. Overall, great spot for sandwiches!

Typically, I hesitate to leave a negative review for a small business, as I respond to reviews for small businesses. Still, the leadership team at this establishment should be aware.

I live in NoMa and have ordered cheesesteaks from here twice before, but the bread is not toasted, so the sandwich quickly gets soggy. There is no online option to request toasted bread, so I walked over (passing five sandwich shops) to B&P to place a takeout order. I inquired with the very polite hostess, and she thought that the option to have bread toasted was on the kiosk. But I told her it wasn’t. She looked and could not find it. Then she spoke to another hostess, who told me the chef would probably not do it, but she would ask. So she goes in the back and asks the chef, and he refused to toast the bread.

This is the insanity. How is a business that sells sandwiches - known for sandwiches -  and you refuse to toast the bread? 🤦🏽‍♀️ As basic as Subway is, they toast their bread. So I was going to proceed with the order, although the hostess was adamant that he would not toast the bread. So I asked if I could get the bread on the side. Then I thought about it, there are so many options within walking distance to entertain this foolishness at B&P.

There was an establishment directly across the street, and as it is Thursday, at the African stand at the 3rd St farmers market, they toast their sandwich bread. The area is not lacking hoagie options. So I opted not to place an order at B&P, walked less than five minutes away, and ordered a DELICIOUS PoBoy with toasted bread at The District Fish Wife for $13. I live in a building in NoMa with 452 units and a very active tenant group chat. And now I’m gonna tell other people my experience. So if the owners or marketing team are reading this, you need to realize there are way too many options in the immediate area to be this uncompromising about something as basic as toasting bread.

FOH was awesome.
Small selection but excellent choices of arcade games, 3/4 billiards table and even 2 mini bowling lanes!
I ordered a beef chz steak sandwich with mushrooms & spicy peppers as extra toppings. Unfortunately, ate half the sandwich and my gut started bubbling🤢
I dnt have any allergens and I'm known to have a bulletproof stomach.
Something definitely went bad in my sandwich.

From the walk in seemed really good but the service and hospitality lacked within the bartender. Everybody is human but if you’re in the industry it takes nothing to be polite and bubbly (a small smile) she seemed so dismissive and ready to go. You just never know who you’re serving. Would not be trying again due to the service. And THE extra fees that come with it. Each thing you order will be taxed and closed out automatically resulting into spending way more! Dining in with a delivery fee on your check is quite insane????
Wish all the best of luck though!

Half an hour to get a plain Italian sub on a Sunday afternoon at three! What the heck! What is their problem?? This place is out of control. It's nearly empty and it's still taking me a half an hour to get a single sub.And their response when I talk to it is, like, dude, what's your problem?

We tried this for lunch. We were looking for a good sandwich shop. We were visiting & doing a little sightseeing. We decided on the Tuna Sandwich with all the toppings. It was huge! Lots of tuna salad on the bread along with greens, cheese, tomatoes, & pickle relish. We tried their potato chips & French onion dip with them. Everything was good. There was patio outdoor seating. Lots of indoor seating was available. We would go try them again. This seemed to be a new location.

The new location is not only expensive for what you get but got a credit card fee as well as some hidden 10% service charge just for taking order and bringing food out.

The food is solid but not worth price.

Could be a great spot but it has some issues. They were out of wings at 12:30pm on a football Sunday. They were playing sound out of multiple TVs all on different channels right next to each other so you couldn’t really hear anything that well. And they didn’t have any glassware, just small plastic cups. Hopefully they’ll fix some of it because the food and space is great.
