They had the best Italian sandwich in DC until they started making their own bread. The new bread is fine, but their old rolls were amazing. I understand why they would make their own rolls, but I miss the old bread.

This place feels extremely overrated. I came across tons of reviews of Bub and Pop’s, with people raving about its old-school vibe, fresh ingredients, and high-quality sandwiches, but I was disappointed in a few ways. The service was quick, but the staff at the counter were snappy and not very welcoming. The prices aren’t just a bit steep—they’re outright expensive. It’s fantastic. The prices are getting a little steep but the sandwiches are in their own league for DC. Compliments only and capo have also been recommended to me but this blew me away.
