I received food with visible mold on it, and the restaurant initially refused to refund me. I had to warn 20 other customers not to eat there before they finally agreed to send me my refund through Cash App. Completely unacceptable experience and unprofessional handling of a serious food safety issue.

Was here Friday, 7/11/2025 at 6:56. I ordered a spicy fried rice bowl and two buns. While the food is fine, the service was poor. I would normally just not go back to a place with poor service, but I provided a tip and still received poor service. I frequent Union Market because I enjoy supporting local businesses, but I believe tipping should at minimum ensure I receive decent service.

menu does not clearly state that chicken in chicken bowl is breaded. food was lukewarm and tasteless. and the gentleman behind the counter seemed surprised to have a person speaking to him

Always running out of food at prime time. For example, sold the last rice bowl at 6pm on Friday night. Only had three buns left. The gentleman who is normally working there is a little rude.

Great bao buns, loved the shrimp one the most! Good option for a light bite in union market.

Got the tofu and mushroom buns to try here. I think they were alright but they tasted pretty similar because of the sauce choices. Wish they had more diverse flavors for their vegetarian choices, would love something with a bit more of a kick or some tanginess. They’re also not the most filling so I’m guessing you would need 4 for a full meal, in my case I got a smoothie from a different stall along with it.

Employee said twice in two different occasions/days that the system is not working and they refuse to sell you the food. It looks to me that they just want to take a break. Terrible customer service. They “can’t” take your order manually.

Bun'd Up Review: Tasty but Pricey

Bun'd Up offers delicious fried chicken buns and fried shrimp buns. These flavorful options were previously available at three for $13, but prices have recently increased. While the food is tasty, it now feels a bit pricier for the amount you get.

Really bad food and an extremely bad service. Angry, disrespectful and very unpleasant waiter who looks very unsatisfied with what he does. Such a bad experience.

Tried the tofu bun, which was good, but needed some modifications for it to be vegan. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06
