I’m glad I looked this place up and went. Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. All four of us enjoyed our food and we ordered completely different entrees. Darrell was an amazing waiter and the hostess with dreads and glasses was super friendly.

We lost our wallet and the waiter, Darrell, chased after us to give it to us. He was courteous and helpful. And the food was amazing. There fried chicken was delicious and tender, and their crab cakes were sumptuous. WE WILL RETURN!!!

Good food, tasty. Prices are somewhat high and pretentious.$24 for a quinoa salad takeout seemed a bit too much to swallow.They charge you $3 as Earth Fees for carry out bags and cutlery but they wouldn't let me not take bags, and I saw how much paper and plastic they were throwing out during the half an hour I was waiting for my 1 dish.

Amazing Experience! Food was definitely on Point and my Waiter was very informative and took me thru the entire menu with my Family and I. Suggested what to try and maybe avoid based on our tastes. The Bookstore was a Plus as I was able to get a book for my Daughter. Would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a positive vibe.
Went for a ladies lunch and really enjoyed my time there.The place was clean, smelled fresh and everyone seemed pleasant.Our waiter was great, attentive but not annoying. He suggested appropriate variations and when my drink of choice wasn't available I said "surprise me"; I was not disappointed!I was wrapped into conversations so I failed to photograph the food. I choose the Kale, asparagus and steak salad. It was perfect with the exception that the fingerling potatoes were not seasoned but they were cooked well.My surprise drink was the purple passion. It was a stunning lemonade and butterfly pea syrup that was layered very well, chilled at the right temp with an amazing floral aroma.I skipped dessert but the chocolate layer cake my friend had looked killer ... She totally ate it all so I guess it was divine.I did grab take out and I got the chorizo and shrimp pasta... Extra spicy and extra saucy like another friend had. She said I was good. I ate it the next day and I agree ? it was spot on.One very amazing thing to add. At the end .. like a clutz I dropped my to go bag. The container opened in the bag and it was a mess. If I was driving I may have just dealt with it but I was on the train and the nice cloth bag couldn't keep the sauce from seeping out. Without skipping a Beat; They repacked my food and gave me another bag. I apologized profusely but they smiled and chatted nicely while I waited. Great customer service? thank you

Service here is a 100/10. I prefer to go to the bar. They are all so friendly, kind, and efficient. I enjoy talking to the bar tenders but preferably my nights I like the most are with Izzy! The hospitality level she brings to the table or I guess I should say bar is amazing. I know I will be taken care of when she’s working. Overall definitely a go to for me after work. Never any bad service and food recommendations are spot on.

I was even more pleasantly surprised when my food arrived. Grilled chicken panini with collards on the side. Every time I visit this Busboys and Poets in Tacoma Park, I can't shake the feeling that I'm being treated like a second-class customer. With 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I find that this establishment consistently falls short. Despite the lack of crowd at the bar, I managed to order wings, nachos, and drinks for my wife and myself. Although things started off well, there were several hiccups along the way.When the bartender brought back the water, I noticed there was chocolate all over the glass. While she was apologetic and swiftly replaced it, the issues didn't end there. When my fiancée joined us, our food arrived, but we never received any silverware or a follow-up to check if everything was to our liking. I also requested a shot to go with my beer, but they were out of the happy hour whiskey, so I received Dewars instead, which I accepted.My fiancée ordered jalapeños to accompany her nachos, but they only arrived after she had finished her meal. Throughout our visit, no manager stopped by to inquire about our experience or whether we needed anything. It's clear that this establishment needs to improve its customer service. This isn't the first time I've experienced issues here, and it may be time for a change in management.
