A staple of DC and a can't miss for visitors and residents alike. The food has been incredible every time I've gone, and the staff are polite and professional. Great decor, music wasn't too loud, and food was ready very quickly. If you can catch an event, like a speaker or a slam poetry night, the vibes are off the charts. Plus the bookstore has a terrific selection.

Busboys and Poets instantly became one of my favorite spots in DC. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s a whole vibe. The space is filled with books, art, plants, and a strong sense of community and freedom. I loved how inclusive and welcoming it felt. Their vegan options were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was perfect. It’s the kind of place where you want to stay for hours, talk, read, or just soak in the atmosphere. Love, creativity, and great food all in one place—what more could you ask for?

One of the best restaurants I've been to in my 34 years of life. Visited January 2017 and still remember my experience. The food was very delicious and generously portioned. My personal favorite dishes were the nachos and crab cakes. I remember that the service was excellent. We were seated in minutes, and it was still very busy. All and all I highly recommend this restaurant and I cannot wait to go back for all their great dishes/service

Our server was the BEST. AWESOME personality, attentive, and service with a smile. The food was on point for the most part. Had the pannie how our suggested blacken it absolutely delicious. My friends loved the vibe. JORDAN IS A GREAT!!!!
Exceptional food, had the grilled chicken panini that was packed with flavor. Wife had the steak and asparagus salad. Excellent lunch spot, you will not be disappointed.
