Byblos is a local treasure in the Cleveland Park neighborhood in DC. The food is excellent Mediterranean fare, with the Lentil soup and the Greek Salad and chicken being top choices. Very healthy portions and Mark the owner is a staple of the neighborhood. Communities need these locally owned business to thrive.

Byblos Deli is amazing! The food is always delicious and the owner is incredibly friendly, clearly cares about each of his customers, and always brightens my day. I cannot recommend this place enough!

started off loving this place, until after a couple visits, the hairy looking owner got unjustly angered and raised his voice at me for asking a simple question about the price even after paying for the item already. He switches his prices when he wants and likes to degrade his customers when they ask simple questions he doesn’t want to answer honestly. My burger tasted like it was boiled in water. Don’t waste your money here there are plenty of other independent restaurants on this street that don’t treat you like crap when they don’t get their way. 👌🏾

We were in town for a few days for work. Out of the 5 days we ate here twice. The owner is super nice and the food is great.

Came about two weeks ago with my husband and the food was fine, chicken was fresh. The service is not at all warm. If you’re looking for an in/out type of place, great. Otherwise, the owner watches you like you’re a criminal or something. Not a very nice environment at all. Will find another neighborhood spot to go to instead

Pretty bad gyros and food quality. Undercooked meat and only 1 little piece of (not fresh) lettuce and tomatoes. The man at the register was quite rude to the woman in front of me in line. Also, what type of Greek place has no lemons?

AI will never replace the best Greek in Washington, DC. And if you want happiness- a warm chicken sandwich with Greek salad is cheaper than a therapist.

Go. Just go. Marcos makes amazing food.
We are visiting DC from out of town. We stopped by here after visiting the zoo and the food the phenomenal! Service was great! The person who was working, it may have been the owner was also dealing with some difficult clients and did a great job. 10/10 would recommend this place if your in town. I got a steak and cheese sandwich and it was way better than I expected.

Amazing food, the owner provided friend service, and good pricing for the large portion size. Great stop after a long hot day at the zoo.
