Was looking for a quick bite to eat near a friend and found this place. I ordered the chicken souvlaki pita and the spinach pie sampler. The chicken souvlaki was decent with large chunks of juicy grilled chicken and creamy tzatziki. But oh my, the spinach pie is one of the tastiest foods I’ve ever had. It’s essentially spanakopita, tender and flaky filo dough with a spinach and feta filling. I don’t know what makes this particular version so delicious but I scarfed it down...
Old school greek deli spot. Great gyro, fries ok. Hummus was good, the baba ganoush was amazing! Grape leaves were good greek style dolmas. There was a.long line when we arrived and no vacant tables, but things turned over quickly and by the time we got our food there was a table (about a 20 minute wait).
This place is hilarious. Discovered absolutely by chance, I didn’t want to leave! The food is amazingly authentic, I felt like in one of my favorite secret food corners of the whole Mediterranean/Middle East area I have visited (many!).
And the Baba Ganoush is just breathtaking!
