Great vibes, super friendly staff, and solid coffee. I came by this lovey Panamanian coffee shop with a few friends on Saturday morning, and I immediately fell in love with its clean and modern, yet super cozy and welcoming aesthetic. I love the floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with natural light, smattering of plants, and slightly aggressive "no laptops allowed" signs placed on every table (at least during the weekends). It was the perfect place to hang out and it would be a good place to work on the weekdays (when laptops are allowed).

Our barista was super friendly and gave great recommendations; we eventually settled on a hot dirty chai, hot latte, and iced orange raspadura latte. The orange raspurada latte was definitely the highlight -- I loved the combination of citrus and cinnamon, and, while it was a smidge too sweet for me, both of my friends absolutely loved it. The dirty chai was similarly well-spiced and super tasty, also with a bit too much sugar for my taste but well-received by both of my coffee buddies. The plain coffee was solid, but I didn't think that it had a ton of flavor -- it mostly just tasted like milk. I would love to come back to try their drip coffee or an americano, or perhaps a cortado / something else with a little less milk to really appreciate the flavor of the beans.

This is some of the best coffee in the city hands down. I recommend Unido to EVERYONE I know because I think it’s that good.

The only reason it’s not 5 stars for me is due to a weird interaction I had with the staff the last time I visited the cafe. New to me was their laptop free zone, which I totally understand the cafe instituting. My friend and I went to remote work there and got a spot in the laptop zone and had another friend planning to join us shortly after we arrived, so we pushed the only two tables left together. When a staff member asked if someone else was joining us, we said yes, which they then responded that our friend needed to be there in 5 minutes tops or else they’d take the table from us.

While again, I respect the laptop free zone and the cafe not wanting people hog tables, it threw me off that I felt like the staff was policing paying customers who were following the rules. Not to mention the laptop free zone was empty this day given it was a weekday afternoon… Overall you should still visit but I hope the staff will be a little bit more trusting of their clientele.

Solid spot! Really in between a 4 and 5… the beignets are meh and the egg was overcooked on my sandwich, but everything else was great! Super cute and they have a side that’s laptop friendly and a side that’s laptop free - cool vibe! Great service.

Coffee is fine, TCB is better and a 10 min walk away. They have “no laptop tables” which is fine so people don’t set up camp but “no WiFi on weekends” is annoying. It’s 2025. Put a sign up outside before someone spends $20 with the intention of working in your establishment to find out they cannot.

Pretentiously expensive coffee and not a vegan friendly place at all.
Charging extra $1 for plant based milk is a thing of the past. Even Starbucks has dropped it.

Extra update: from 3 to 1 star because attitude doesn’t make your business to thrive.

Great food and drinks, but this cafe is NOT dog friendly indoors like some reviews say. It does have a patio in warmer weather, but it's in the shade and very cold otherwise. They don't even prefer dogs inside when ordering, though it seems like they'll tolerate it sometimes. If it's just humans, go for it - it's great!

Bright and modern cafe, with friendly service. Food was delicious but portions were a little small given the price.

Waiting at the register way too long. Was asked by three different people, have you been helped. Each person walked away. So I left. Would never return.

Nice service and food is good but twice they’ve added bacon to my food, this last time really upset me, I didn’t even go back and correct it cause I didn’t have time. I would just double check with them. Also, the amount of dogs in the restaurant is bit much, majority are not service dogs.

If you’re more of a matcha drinker, I definitely don’t recommend. Came here to get matcha because other reviews said it was good. Whoever said that has probably never had decent matcha. Firstly, the matcha is sitting on the counter in a clear container. For several reasons, It’s not supposed to be exposed to light. Secondly, it’s a dull green, and when mixed with the milk it hardly looked green. The taste was also… questionable. Genuinely being nice by giving them 3 stars after that.
