Very fun place to hang out it and watch a Columbian game at. It gets popping after 10pm or so. Would recommend.

Our group was looking for a fun night with some good music and great vibes and we found it at Cafe Citron. Music was on point, vibe was lively and friendly. Drinks were a bit overpriced, but overall the experience was well worth it. I would definitely come back and highly recommend.

I went to Café Citron last night with a few friends and was really impressed with how good the food was. I ordered the lomo saltado and added a fried egg. Definitely not your typical bar food and I'd come back just for that. Our bartender Mandy was super friendly and attentitive to us which made the whole thing even better. By the end of the night, it turned into a full on night club with free shots and dancing on the bar. If you're looking for a fun night out with friends and the right vibes, this place is it.

I’m honestly sad to write this. I don’t know if it’s due to new management, but the vibe just isn’t the same anymore. The music used to be a fun mix of Latin club hits, but now it feels like it’s only Bad Bunny on repeat. The DJ and overall energy have really gone downhill, and it shows—the place is noticeably emptier on Friday nights compared to other clubs. This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I really hope they can bring back the variety and atmosphere that made it great.
I love citron so much 🫶🏻 is amazing and fun!

The staff member named Cesar tried to use security to intimidate me into paying him 20 dollars. DO NOT visit this place
It’s better than most spots. I don’t usually like clubbing, but I had a good time, despite waiting a while in line. Definitely a more latino atmosphere and was pretty fun.
Came here beginning of the year January for work, and I was reminded of the Afro Latina lady giving me and my friends and other customers dancing lessons, I believe she was the owner. Still remember her because after that I was able to dance at other places I went to when I went back home to atlanta and felt less awkward dancing for sure. That was the first dance lesson I ever had, she was fun for sure. She left an lasting impression to where I had to leave an review 6 or 7 months later

I came with a group here. This place has to be violating DC fire code as the space is incredibly crammed to the point that at time you cannot move. If there was a fire, there would easily many casualties. DCFD, please look into this place. Second, my friend had her cell phone stolen. Staff and security do not care. If you lose something here, just call the police so this place can start caring about all the thefts that happen to occur here. And to be honest, just do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money here.

I had a very bad experience at Café Citron. My phone was stolen inside the venue, and when I tried to speak with the manager, César Cadavid, to request camera footage (there was a camera directly in front of where it happened), he completely refused to help and showed zero empathy about the situation.
He didn’t make any effort to assist or even listen with basic concern.
Honestly, this shows a total lack of responsibility and humanity from the management.
I do not recommend this place at all.

The vibe is good. The service was very very slow. They kept forgetting to put things in. Not sure if they were short staffed. Don’t waste your time with the chips and dips. They tasted like store bought guacamole and salsa and cheap dollar store bag chips. But other wise the Citron sampler was amazing! We only one drink because again the service was slow. But overall I would try this place again because of the vibe and music.
I used to LOVE this place. I recently took a friend to cheer her up because she was going thru a hard time. We got there and asked about the specials for the evening, we thought we missed the special priced food for the night (free appetizer with drink purchase) but the bartender told us the specials were until 9 pm. Cool. We went for happy hour mind you and were expecting 2 of our appetizers to be free, because that was the special deal that day . We got the $95 check and neither of our appetizers were free. I called the manager over and she told us the deal ended at 7. I told her the bartender told us otherwise and she took one of our appetizers off but said the other one was 'premium' and was not apart of the special. She was very nice and sweet our entire visit and I really appreciated her. I had ordered a guacamole arapea to take home to eat later. To my disappointment there was literally nothing in the $10 arapea other than cheese. I might give them one more chance because of the manager that night, but this was a highly disappointing visit
