Cute spot located very close to union station. Came in for dinner on a week night and the place was decently busy. The server was kind and attentive. For food, I had the lamb shawarma which was very tasty and actually the perfect amount of food, although the pita bread that came with was pretty dry. My friend got the lamb sliders which also looked pretty good!

Cafe Fili graciously hosted our team for dinner. We sat at their largest table past the bar and next to the wall of wine. Throughout the meal, they took care of us very well with drinks and water! We shared a bunch of different appetizer dishes and then ordered from the mains, bowls, and salads. I had the Lamb Shawarma and there was plenty to take home for another meal. As a team, we rarely go out and eat together. Weekday dinner was not too loud and busy inside the restaurant, so it was perfect for us to talk and hear each other. There's a lot of choices for Mediterranean cuisine in DC and this one feels a step above the much of the fast casual out there.

Inedible!!! I went with a mentor and we both ordered falafel sandwiches. It was like swimming in the Dead Sea. So much salt! I do not recommend and am not happy with their “resolution” of a lunch that was truly inedible. We told them we were both fine and didn’t want new items but just wanted to leave and they decided to comp only 1 of the two wraps, leaving the payment for one of them… really disappointing. Understandable that businesses need to earn money but this was a clear opportunity for them to do better.

Delicious! The portions were very large. I could of had another meal to take home. Everyone around me also got To Go boxes. Everything tasted very fresh. The chickpeas in the hummus were dried which was something I never had before and thought it added a really nice texture. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Pita. It was super thin and tough. I like mine soft and warm.

Fili is a great lunch and after work drinks/bar bites spot. The food is tasty and filling, with lots of variety. The sampler is a must for your next post work drinks with a friend. Drinks are wonderful - sitting on the patio with an Aperol Spritz is a MUST!

2023 review - the food is excellent. The Hummus Trio is fantastic with a mix crisp and soft pita. I also love their Lamb Kaftka. One item to note is they have become more popular and you may need reservations for lunch. I had to sit at the bar with a friend for this lunch. I also noted may need to come buy and try out their Bourbon and scotch bar one evening as this is new to me.2020 Review - The food is very good and the service is very good but there are very few tables and it is very loud.
